With the introduction to personal loot, this marks the last hoorah for GDKPs.
MoP will release with the final SoO patch which applies personal loot to raid encounters, with this simple change and the removal of Master Looter as intended by the developers of the game this will mark a shift in the RMT community where they will no longer need to setup a Circus pyramid scheme to steal your money, this simple change will foster the retail methodology of milking players for money which is buying straight up carries for raids

They can’t GDKP in anniversary, they can’t GDKP in MoP, they can’t GDKP in classic Plus.
Oh boy they will be mad when they figure this out.
This is great news for the game though. Blizzard is on a roll.

If it’s about MoP having personal loot I’m not entirely sure that’s accurate. It was introduced in LFR only for MoP, but since LFR won’t be in the game… I don’t think it’ll be in MoP at all
Afaik GDKPs should still very much be going strong in MoP
Also personal loot doesn’t really stop GDKPs anyways… More of a paid carry system tho.
The cure is worse than the disease in this case.
It takes yet another sliver of the freedom and exitenment that’s a basic part in the magic of WoW.

To be honest I like personal loot because it takes the drama out of everything. You can just have fun playing the raid.
Plus people who looted an item they didn’t need can still trade it to others.
Seems like a win/win for players and raid leads.

Personal Loot is a win for the game, players can’t be trusted to manage loot its why it was implemented in the first place and GMs having a hands off policy to ninja loots.
RMT community will shift to selling carry runs which are normally limited spots, these will traditionally be guilds trying to recoup gold losses, fragmenting the GDKP community even further as after all the experiment was a success and not a failure, thus a surplus of players to partake in other raids not driven by transactional players.
The writing is on the wall, I am surprised players are not crying about this, oh well I suspect once release comes we will see the forums flood once again with GDKP nonsense.

The cope right now is blizzard will allow players to change from personal to master loot, for now all we can do is wait and see.

As you see, I totally disagree here. Trying to win that roll is part and parcel of Classic.
In 2019 tear went for over 100k in every run I was in. No one is rolling anything. That was about $50 back then. If you didn’t buy gold you never got it. Simple as. Personal loot is better because this is avoided.

Not to mention Retail? Unless you can GDKP in Retail, in which case… that’s a great reason to play Retail, since they also have better tokens (can convert to Blizzard dollars as well).
