I usually play the first season of an expansion to check it out and almost always end up quitting before getting AoTC in the first raid.
I “stopped” playing in MoP for pretty much the same reasons I stop playing retail expansions; daily chores are garbage.
If there is something you “have” to do every single day it quickly becomes boring AF and I stop looking forward to logging in and playing.
Retail with it’s borrowed power systems that seem to change every season now instead of every expansion, with an absolutely ridiculous amount of “currencies” acquired through daily quests; it’s not even a game it’s just a work simulator.
From what i’ve seen from this thread, most classic players quit retail most often at Wod, BFA, SL, and DF. I’ve seen a couple cata & mop. I’ve yet to see Tbc, Wrath, or Legion. I’m guessing Tbc, Wrath, & Legion were goated xpacs, can’t wait for Legion Classic tbh.
Hugs from behind aren’t helping.
It’s not going to change though I wish it could.
But yeah. If I’m going to be trying to game with my spouse/friends I’d rather it be Era.
It is what it is.
I’ll be free of Blizzard once TBC is done.
They would love a TBC Era but I doubt that’s happening.
Truth be told, I havent been playing much and leaning towards an extensive break I may or may not return from. Ever since Desil disbanded our little guild and quit the game, I only log Era once every three weeks to do a little AV on a saturday or sunday afternoon. The magic is largely gone for me…at least for now.
After that, I might give MoP a couple of hours on a sunday morning but that’s about it. If I didnt have an old vanilla buddy doing the same thing (sunday morning MoP only) I probably wouldnt even do that. So, yeah, I hear ya.
Dysil, I 'member you from Bloodsail and Mankrik.
Both realms were richer for your presence.
Be well. I shall hold a small gathering of five to give thanks for our daily BRD in your honor.
Once I’m in a place where I can game again.
Take care, Corpse.
If I can get back online and you’re still hanging in there in October, I’ll message for AV weekend.
Im paid up until early November. It’s not as interesting without ‘BRD Daily’ but I still find time for some Era AV’s when its the holiday. So message away.
