Heard an interesting question. Do you think WoW Classic should have a seperate game category on Twitch or should it be called WoW?
I’d like to hear your opinion, why, and what experience you had watching Classic streams on Twitch.

Oh…I thought you meant the mod app part of twitch. Sigh.
You meant streaming.
Well, to my first thought…heck yes!!! They at least need a separate category for Classic mods and it should honestly be a whole different game.
I don’t see why not. But I don’t care too much. Never been into watching WoW; Not during vanilla youtubes or today twitch. Even when I’ve really been into WoW.
I don’t think WoW is very entertaining to watch and havn’t seen too many likable personalities for wow streams. MadSeasonShow has been entertaining though.
Take a look at the pic for the WoW category.
Wanted to share my experience over the weekend. It was extremely difficult finding a Classic Stream over the weekend, yes only about 15-20% of the Streams were of Classic, but maybe that number was more. You’re dependent on the Streamer using the word Classic in his title, because Classic looks almost identical to Standard when looking at thumbnails. Some didn’t mention Classic in their title.
It really took me a good 5-15 seconds staring at a thumbnail and stream title to figure out if it’s for Standard or Classic, one I couldn’t tell and had to jump in their Stream, wait for the commercial and watch for some time, and even then I couldn’t because they weren’t using any UI mods, so I had to ask in chat and look stupid. That experience will be even worse for newcomers to Classic.
You might not think this is an important question. But to attract new blood, it is.
A classic mods catagory would be a great idea. I only use the Twitch app for getting addons, having retail wow and classic wow seperate would make finding addons easier no doubt
Yeah, Circë, I have been downloading all of mine manually from Github, the author’s source site, or wow interface, but I noticed that Twitch registered them in my list for Classic and offered update links.
So…why on earth do they not have a Classic category, at least. I mean, it’s not even a category.
Sigh. I’m sure they’ll fix it eventually, but I’m baffled.
I don’t think its a huge deal. Most of them put classic in their title anyways its not hard to search for.
