It’s bizarre that there are comments about this. The initial setup of servers in Sydney was complex for multiple reasons. Now they have servers here, it is really easy to get additional space. At the very least they’ll close a retail server and turn it into a classic server.

i had 8 in Sydney (close to Ultimo where the servers probably are). Have 100 now im in singapore

So another thread said 5 servers minimum. I’m thinking 30 (including RP-PVP and OC PVE, OC PVP).

How many servers do people think will be needed, such that Blizzard includes Oceanic independently of PST?

I’ve heard people saying 3 Oce servers: PvP, PvE and RP. TBH looking at BFA numbers for Oce we need at least 5 times those numbers. Need to keep in mind earlier on we will have tourist traffic so probably better to have a bit less than too many.

OCE has never had an RP server on live. 99.999% sure they’re not getting one in Classic.

That I didn’t know just because I simply never paid any attention. That’s unfortunate because there’s probably a decent RP player base in OCE (the Oce classic discord has a few) that would justify at least 1 server.
