Classic Launch is a Failure

Classic forums are more entertaining than the queues. At least there isn’t any queues on the forums

mic drop… walks away

lolz

The estimated time is the best part went from 570 minutes to 780 down to <1 minute back to 560 currently sitting at 153 minutes.

It’s like downloading a song on dial-up back in the day the numbers mean nothing

This is a fail imo. I queued for 7 hours to get into Arugal, which is not completely unexpected considering it’s launch day. But, after playing for 90 mins my friend and I were disconnected and had the awesome chance to join the queue all over again at 9000+

Edit: Had a crack at the new OCE server. Now all my toons are gone lol.
Edit: World server is down.

Wrong:

That is the definition of an AMAZING SUCCESS! It is so successful that it reamed the login servers.

I think the biggest problem with them bringing up servers afterwards is many people have chosen a server to play with their friends. And if your in a group that planned on raiding together (meaning a large group of 40+) you don’t want to go to a less crowded server because half your friends did get in, and you can’t ask them to now start over on another server. So I didn’t play at all, which isn’t a big deal. I am hoping that after a few days the queues are much more reasonable than 3 -4 hours.

EVERYONE SO MAD, you’re right though. ActivBlizzard FAILED. They really thought the launch wouldn’t be bigger than their trash retail expacs. They HONESTLY thought that. They deserve to burn, and they deserve all the criticism heaped at them. What they deserve more, though, is no more money from you.

Bit inaccurate, I enrolled on the one… only… pvp oceanic server and it wasnt full. Even yesterday wasnt full. I tried logging on today and 4 hour que. some play time, then a DC and another long que. I had little choice of server and it wasnt full.

Anecdotes don’t meant anything you zoomer. I logged into Arugal with 30s to launch with less problems than you, its irrelevant. Queue is at 11k right now. The only thing that proves is that Activision are INCONSISTENT.

no you are wrong, id rather have you complain on the forums for a couple of days than a boat load of servers be dead in a month.

I agree but only because they caved to you Vanilla member berries

no u bro, no u.

I will be blunt. Launch went way better than I expected. I fully expected most of the servers to completely crash due to loads.

Your choice to sound like a complete MORON!!!

I logged in a few minutes late. There were several servers that didn’t have queues. Bloodsail, Grobbulus, Old Blanchy, I got onto all of them without problem.

it was very much like the original release long ques and all I loved it #nochanges.

You are a gentleman/lady and a scholar.

Welcome to Vanilla!!!

No, it was 16 and now it’s 20 new servers since launch.

They launched with 4 US-East PvP realms. Not only that 1 of them (Stalagg) was opened after the other 3 with a plea from Blizz for people to switch to it to help control population issues.

Now it has the largest queue and they’ve already opened 5 new ones, going from 4 to 9 US East PvP realms.

Any way you look at it, they massively underestimated the popularity and completely dropped the ball.

The realm with the largest queue is the one Blizz asked people to switch to to help with population issues, so people did want to switch, just not after the game already launched and their friends, guilds and communities had already started somewhere.
