Quite untrue.
It was very possible for casuals to run out of fun stuff to do in Vanilla. Once you finished leveling up there really wasn’t much endgame content designed for casuals back in Classic.
It was much easier to run out of fun stuff to do as a casual back in Vanilla than it is in Retail today.
