This right here. I’ve found nothing but positivity in alliance side.
Here you go - discord.gg/invite/deviatedelight
Don’t lie, this is just some streamer running out of content to stream and trying to get people to make content for him.
I mean, if the end result is what is effectivey a fresh server for folks to play on, does it matter what the initial intent behind it was? It’s not like you have to support the streamer, you just log into a server where there’s little to no max geared 60’s prior to their startup and play.
Like, play or don’t, but it doesn’t really matter if a streamer starts it or not. It’s there, have fun!
The servers intended purpose has pretty much gone with the wind. Its just going to be fresh Whitemane now, just with a large gap between players who refuse to run Naxx - and players who are running Naxx.
And yes, you will have to play with those players. On the opposite side. Its a pvp server. And the griefing is running wild. Oh btw, people found out GDKP isnt banned.
Was a great mood while it lasted. Too good to be true.
Is the person who started the movement on DD still playing? I remember the group trying to get this going on Grobbulus.
He got banned for doxxing another player and went mia. The whole initial project was dropped and now a bunch of bigger streamers and whitemane troll guilds run the show.
I played on DD and what are you talking about? Lol

essentially yeah. Alodar is a flop.
Ya’ll have your fun and all, but all the artificial hype around PhReSh servers is just an excuse to boot up some more bots and get ppl to buy even more gold for consumes and GDKPs on an isolated island server. Streamers jump in, they bring their crowd, they all swipe their cards.
The one and only reason people wanted Fresh servers throughout WoW’s history post-vanilla was so that people who missed out can participate in opening the Gates of Ahn’Qiraj and get their bug mount.
No I just like honor ranking with the community together. It’s the most fun the game has to offer.
That’s an interesting perspective on the world.
How many people got the mount? How many even attempted it? I’d be curious if anyone has any numbers.
Fresh is probably fun, because Classic leveling content is fun when there’s tons of people to play with who are all leveling as well.
I think it might be interesting to consider a game mode where characters have life-spans… like 1-2 years, maybe. Or maybe longer, but lose some stats. So for example, maybe you have 100% max stats/talent points for 1-2 years, and then lose 1%/month over time until the character expires at 5%.
That might keep the game fresh.
Based off of aggregated data from WoW Armory ingested into this 3rd-party tool (dataforazeroth), 0.0325% of players have the Scarab Lord title. I don’t know about date ranges though. The data might be there to grab from WoW Armory, but I’m no programmer lol.
I’ll take your word for it, we knew the numbers would be low without even looking at the statistics.
However, his suggested point about the scarab title not being the primary reason for people liking a fresh server is spot on. There’s a myriad of reasons why people roll on fresh servers, (of which scarab lord title belongs) but the primary reasons are not those for the majority of people. A lot of it is aforementioned reasons; Starting from scratch with people so you have a leveling and dungeon experience, avoiding the stagnate/big players / monopoly-esque things on the market already established, world pvp, etc, etc.
I sort of get what you mean and can agree in terms of not seeing the reason for it, many of us have leveled and geared up a innumerable times already and are often tired of it. I said long ago that classic is going to die or have population problems because people don’t play it for the right reasons. Instead of playing for PvP they play for PvE. It’s flawed, but beautiful and high skill cap all the same, and you do not run into the instant gratification consumption power creep ADHD problem of “new raid new stuff pls”, I think it is the lack of recognition of this and lack of pvp enthusiasts which is why we do not have a instant geared 60 server like some pservers, although, there is a point to having a fresh or leveling server for pvp because it facilitates wpvp, e.g. farming mats for thorium/iron grenades and then you and your faction / enemy faction start fighting over nodes. This is a lot harder to replicate or nonexistent properly on instant 60 servers.
I don’t play on PVP servers, not my jam to get corpse camped non-stop – lived that hell years ago, no thank you. Griefers ruin world PVP. It doesn’t mean world PVP can’t happen on PVE servers either, in fact it should happen more often due to its volunteer nature.
I was on Kirin Tor (RP server) back in the day and got to be part of my first Taren Mill vs South Shore epic battle when I was only like level 15. I was at the Sepulcher and saw some stragglers running around skirmishing. Of course I was going to protect our graves from being defiled by Alliance!
Don’t blame ADHD on that mentality. That’s more so folks who might not have many responsibilities in their life including 8-hour daily commitments. But it is a valid criticism, and one reason (of many) why I have found it tough to enjoy SoD. Content rollout cadence is too fast for my personal enjoyment.
Same old PVE content can absolutely be made enjoyable with others sharing the same attitude. People seem to only ever want to play the meta, buy gear with gold, and complain they’re bored rather than do PVE with interesting compositions. It’s more challenging and fun!
I’m pretty sure all the streamers are long gone from the server…
