Classic Era Wish List

a new shape shifting spec for each class.

  1. color coded for horde/alliance.
  2. preset gear appearance.

examples:

-shaman
bard spec. totems become war drums. shapeshift - z troll.

-paladin
archangel spec. similar to a demon hunter but light-based. shapeshift - high elf.

-priest
enchantress spec. mind control pet class. shapeshift - naga.

-mage
battlemage. half tank/half mage. shapeshift - horde blood elf, alliance void elf.

-hunter
naturalist spec. enhanced scouting/tracking, camp buffs, spears only. shapeshift - horde centaur, alliance worgen.

-druid
fae spec. faery magics. shapeshift - dryads.

-warrior
beserker spec. more damage they take, more damage they do. shapeshift - horde taunka, alliance vrykul.

-rogue
ninja spec. scaling buildings/walls. thrown weapons only. pure ranged. shapeshift - horde goblin, alliance gnome.

-warlock
necromancer spec. pets are undead. shapeshift - male lich, female banshee.

:innocent:

I don’t play that crap.

Nah, the classes are “fine.” They just need to buff underperforming builds like ret.

you’d pass up the chance to be a faery magic casting dryad druid, so ret can be buffed? these arent exclusive. ret can also be buffed. hehe!

It would create a balancing :poop: show

yes but so much fun. a naga mind control class. battlemages. etc. and could give us races already in game, just subject to azeroth laws.

I think the one thing everyone can agree on is the need to eliminate bots and gold sellers/buyers. Other than that, it’s a Pandora’s box. I would love to eliminate dungeon boosting and balance the classes and specs. However I realize this will open the floodgates and people will demand every change they can think of. I think it’s best to err on the side of no changes.

clearly you’re confusing a 20 year old instanced MMO with a 1 year old game that never met that instanced version of itself.

you might like to think that WoW is about jumping back and forth from infinite instances with ridiculous ammount of mechanics and difficulties for each raid,

but vanilla isn’t about that. it’s mostly a de-instanced game, and that’s what leveling is about.

transforming classic wow into an instanced version of itself it’s just a bad thing to do.

well i should correct part of my prior reply to you:

since they just be shapeshifts of races, no new cities or racials, etc, would need to be added and no new armor sets either since it’d be preset appearance, color coded where necessary.

There are like 20 empty classic servers that are no changes and never touched.

There needs to be QoL for new server for healthier communities without two sides fighting.

If you want improvements, why not play any other version of the game or any other mmo? Why would you even play this artifact if you’re looking for modern QoL features in a game?

This is perfect, but may I add no mage boosts?

No world buffs in raids and more debuff slots on bosses would be nice. As for everything else, why not just play retail?

no wbuffs in raids. more debuff slots for bosses. no boosting from players to players or blizzard to players. tier 1, 2, 2.5 & 3 for all specs. nerf ZG/AQ20 gear (something in-between UBRS and MC40/Ony instead of gear equivalent to BWL or even AQ40). increase damage/hp and time for enrage for raid bosses.

I’m down for no mage boosts, just hard to figure out how to implement it without changing the mage class.

I suppose they could:

-Reduce xp for L60 kills in dungeons to super low, but that would hurt people who are running their friends/guildies.
-Maybe require a toon to damage a mob to get xp?

Solution: If the mob is grey to anyone in the group, the mob does not award xp. You want to help out your friends/guildies? Roll an alt and have a blast playing the game together!

ROFL.

Imagine thinking Blizzard is going to make the same devastating mistake twice.

Two Classics: Vanilla with minimal changes and TBC embracing many changes. Which version did better? The numbers are clear, vanilla.

I disagree with a lot of things in this.

But x3 leveling speed… really? The journey to level 60 is more than half the adventure in Vanilla.

Not to mention for a lot of people leveling is one of the things that make the game for them. Like me, as someone who doesn’t raid, I have a ton of fun leveling alts. I wouldn’t want to imagine Vanilla with a level rate beyond the normal amount.
