I started playing during WoD and am now giving Classic a try. I was wondering what people do after you reach lvl 60. What keeps people playing? Raids, pvp, professions?
Yes. And RP, for some.
You can always go for those legendary weapons and unlike the legendaries we seen the last few expansions…these are truly legendary.
yes, all the things you said.
Vanilla and WoD have the most in common in terms of end game activities vs any other expansion.
PvP and professions for me personally. I don’t personally care for end game raiding in Vanilla as it’s just very bland to me, (I stick to retail for raiding, don’t hate me) but to each is their own. PvP in classic is just awesome and I absolutely love the feeling of being known for a profession on a server or in a guild. Being the specialized crafter, or the guy who fishes a lot, etc etc., just brings an extra RPG element to the game that is missing from retail.
You started during Warlords of Draenor … and you’re still playing Retail? Wow … Classic must be a real system shock to you.
A max level, you have Dungeons, Raids, PvP battlegrounds (after phase 3). Alchemy/Enchanting are probably the most relevant professions for endgame.
Generally you haven’t explored all the lands on your way to 60 so you can go visit them, do quests (although they’d likely be gray to you) to build reputation, maybe go for another race’s mount if you have the coin.
Bgs, dungeons, alts, city raids, naked drunken fun runs thru cities.
