It definitely comes through that they are excited and care about Classic. I'm still worried about sharding and hoping it's reserved for "oh crap the server is about to crash" rather than "oh pings went up 10ms we can't have that!".


It is reserved for the "oh crap, there are millions of BfA players that might want to play like 5 levels of Classic... this will ruin server populations and we will need to merge servers multiple times".

I could say the same to you. Just keep in mind that people were saying the same exact thing to you but with regards to Classic servers not too long ago.

and just so you know, your post is irrelevant to the topic. asking for legal classic, as opposed to illegal private servers- has nothing to do with asking that said legal classic endure illogical and advanced changes, that defeat the entire purpose of its creation to start with.

The entire purpose of Classic is a return of the community-driven RPG that WoW once was. That purpose leaves plenty of room for improvements.

except, screw the community as a whole- that wants nothing to do with a modernized (aka non vanilla) game. right?

but yet you believe that if these improvements were implemented, there would even be a community to speak of? and what then? are retail (pro changers) going to play alone? we know the answer to that.

and you should probably look up what RPG means. because asking for changes that take away that RPG element- is a contradiction to wanting an RPG experience.

Plenty of people in this very community would like a Classic version that's the best it can be, and improvements which don't take away from what made Vanilla a hit would indisputably make Classic more successful overall. And why wouldn't it? You have what made the original game successful, plus more. It's you #NoChange dimwits that are trying your best to kill Classic in its crib.

I'm asking for nothing which takes away from the RPG experience, and some things (like mogging) which actively enhance it. Mogging is like, quintessential RPG.
BfA isn't fun... I'll play Classic WoW when its out.
It's even more hilarious because vanilla's general balance is leagues ahead of BfA.

Which pen/paper RPG has every class doing the same level of damage? Because that's what asking for "class balance" is asking for. It flies directly in the face of traditional RPGs where each class is distinctly different...

A good portion of those people have no interest in Classic and are not asking for things with honest intentions.

Except aoe looting affects how fast I can generate gold. A popular method was a mage farming SM cathedral. Pull everything up to the front of the cathedral. Aoe it down. Loot. Pull everything inside. Loot.

Normally that would be about 5 minutes of running around and 10 minutes of looting.
So 3 to 4 runs an hour.
With aoe looting that becomes as many times an hour as I can reset + A few runs of one of the other 3 SM dungeons
Big difference.
And aoe looting literally only benefits 3 classes. Mages, locks, and paladins.

Are you kidding?

You've clearly never been attacked while farming mobs on a pvp server.

OMGOMGOMG Loot as many corpses as possi..... DEAD! NOOOoooooo!!!

That's gameplay son. Try to loot all your corpses before you die, or try to run away, or try to fight.

Those options would be lost with AoE loot.

But it wasn't in classic, so it shouldn't be added. I seriously don't get why this is such a hard concept. Even the devs said go play BFA if you want these things.
