I know for sure my buddy who started in 2009 is in and playing. So yes it is apparently just random.
Well, my father’s, brother’s, nephew’s, cousin’s former roommate is in too and he just bought WoW for the first time today.

They didnt gain a “Turn” they simply was granted the option if they were to get the Blizzcon Ticket, a Beta Invite is not something you would be able to buy.
Seams that way! probably isn’t any algorithm that considers account age and sub time, just a pool of accounts that have beta testing enabled and random selection from that.
The OP wants to cut to the front of the line. Get yanked out of the line.
If he wanted to cut to the front then why are other players making posts about classic wow beta invites?
