Classic + Community Decided

Just an idea here. Assuming the classic servers we have now aren’t modified, and kept as it.

Have the base Classic game, and use the Runescape polling system to build the game. Where the community decides the direction it goes. When an expansion is to be “released” on the Classic+ server, the community decides if it goes through. Poll could be like:

Open The Burning Crusade Expansion?

  1. Yes
  2. No
  3. At a later time

If option 3 was voted the most on, then Blizzard would delay the addition of TBC and ask again a few months later, or whatever timeframe.

They could also do polls on things like “add LFD”, or if it’s part of the expasion poll “Remove LFD”.

Once again: This is just an idea, not to mess with current Classic servers, or any future “Classic” expansion server. But, rather a seperate couple servers. Thoughts?

Time progression servers are always popular on older mmo’s, I expect it would be on wow as well. Obviously it would die like all the rest once it eventually got past wotlk though.
