Classic -> BC -> Wrath -> No reason really to go past Wrath, just start over :P

The burning legion, you know, the ones behind the curtain so to speak?

I’ve thought on this one and agree with OP. If BC at least does come around I would like an option to copy over my Classic character, this could be done in the form of a time window where you maybe only have 2 weeks or so from the launch of the server to register you character for a copy over. I would personally hate to have to start fresh on BC but that of course would be an option anyway, its far down the pipeline and plenty of good times in Classic to be had before that may happen but as someone that quit 2 months before BC I’d love the option to be able to jump into it with my Classic 60

We killed Kil’Jaeden in BC.

Whatever, the best story was done by the end of WotLK. Which in my opinion is the only reason to even potentially have a Classic WotLK server at all.

On that i agree. Wrath was what gave us much of the failings of live.

I could definitely see this being an effective method and I would be down with this myself. The only issue with this that I can see happening is blizzard losing an opportunity sell us microtransactions for one time character copies.

Or you know. What if i want to play on a different server in bc that i didn’t in classic. Guess im boned.

I think an interesting thing would to have vanilla servers that stay as vanilla and some vanilla servers with custom content like bring back old ideas they had but scrapped during vanilla. But I highly doubt that’ll ever happen.

Wrath = Dungeon Finder

If it’S about to even touch Wrath, get to 3.1 at most.

And weirdly it’s where my interest in the Warcraft story ended.

The Shattering was the last Warcraft book that I bought and I couldn’t even finish it. As someone who came from the RTS, the Warcraft story ended when we killed Arthas, game won, we did it, go team.

Before we killed Arthas, there was Dungeon Finder, plus all that insane emblem and itemization changes adjusting the game for it.

Do you want that in Classic?

Yeah I’d like to see this too, years into Classic release. I wanted Azshara Crater to be in the game so bad.

Karazhan obviously was a Vanilla raid, I remember going through it for the first time and wondering why the entry level raid was so detailed and impressive in TBC, turns out it’s because it was intended to be a later raid in Vanilla.

At that point, I think the team was still full of the passionate and talented people who put Blizzard Entertainment on the map, so I have to wonder if their decision to leave things out or put them in a new expansion was the better choice.

It doesn’t feel like it, but I wasn’t there, so I don’t know. Either way, I would have loved to see those things that were planned but never happened for Vanilla.

What are you on about? We’re talking about Warcraft lore.

Dungeon finder is cancer.

That would be really cool to see them bring in Karazhan in vanilla. Imagine that being tier 4. Unless it was intended to be before Naxxramas.

I highly doubt it, considering Atiesh (the legendary caster staff) was obtained in Naxxramus and created a portal to Karazhan.

Ah makes sense. Then yeah it’d be really cool to see Karazhan be tier 4. Also, makes me wonder what the gear would look like.

Though, if they have to finish the Warcraft lore in a Classic iteration, they’d have to get at least to 3.3. Unless they make #changes.

Karazhan IS tier 4.

probably similar to TBC, but scaled down a little bit on numbers.

Oh I see what you’re saying. I don’t really care about “Classic” WotLK servers (though I’m sure a lot of people want them), but I do see how they’d have a problem using 3.3.5 (or any later patch) as the base for it since most people consider anything post-Ulduar as the beginning of the decline for WoW.

what about
 1.12?

What do you think about them scaling everything all the way to 60, as next tiers? Just like Naxx, you wouldn’t even want to set foot there before clearing AQ, and the BC and WotLK would be even more difficult, then?

[CLASSIC -> BC -> WRATH -> NO REASON REALLY TO GO PAST WRATH, JUST START OVER ]

This is something I was thinking about the other day. If the servers just constantly cycle between Vanilla and WoTLK, I’d be ok with that.

As for copying? No thanks. Either start over, or continue with that character without copying. Too many server types isn’t a great idea imo.

That’s a 6 year cycle, and plenty of time to freshen things up. PoE does new leagues every 3 or so months IIRC, and that’s a bit too quick for me
WoW would need much more time.

Unsure how it’d work in the long run, but that’s a lot of time.
