While I understand people wanting fresh content with a classic feel, I do think though it does make the old meme everyone joked on blizzard about “You think you do, but you don’t” Ring kind of true, the entire point of that saying was because they knew players wouldn’t want to be frozen in statis always playing old content. I think though that just means they should of been more proactive and made an alternative track of retail for people. Even if it took a secondary client like classic has. idk how much work that would be or if it would be worth it to them though.
