ya, being highly defensive with large damage is ridiculous. Shamans do damage but have crap defensives. Thats the counter play to them, tank have low damage. Thats the counter play to them. Tanks have been weird to balance in pvp for ages, this isnt new

It totally changes your point. Tanks take 60% increased damage from all sources in PvP. You have no idea what you are talking about and don’t compete in PvP. Tanks take more damage than Dps do because of this.
Also in PvP in Arena you still need to provide kill pressure and damage. You don’t know this though so how about you stick with your PvE content and players like myself that are Rank 1 in the US right now in their spec in PvP talk about PvP changes.

They didn’t and has no experience to comment. They should just stay out of topics they have no clue about. Then let players with intimate knowledge of the specs that compete and actually write guides for the spec address the changes for their content.

Also, no one wants to do DPS damage as a tank. The issue is tank damage is already trash as it is, nerfing it more just makes more people queue as DPS and another tank bites the dust while you wait 4 hours in queue cause you think tanks are “OP”

This balance pass is extremely well done. Of course there still may be some further issues to address, but as far as what was done here, how it is presented, how it is explained, this is top notch work.

if tanks dont care about doing dps levels of damage, why are they upset about doing low damage? besides many tanks do loads of damage. If you personally do low damage maybe thats a skill issue? Prot warriors in my keys do just fine, they beat the dps sometimes.

The amount of tank mains that give up tanking because they get nerfs now and then is tiny.
