Well, the optimal spec to play for mages was Fire for 2 expansions. I prefer frost, however, all specs are fun to play in their own right.

No one in this thread is likely to comment on tank or healer concerns.
We’re the forgotten ones.
Yeah every 2 minutes when stacking every CD on top of each other.
If they want to fix that they need to look at Wild Spirits not the rest of the kit.
nerf wild spirits what the f.
why did you buff the ALREADY BEST covenant by 25% for hunters? wtf is wrong with you?
I hear ya, I think frost dk needs a rework or something
I have mained Sin for years and I don’t wanna switch specs but Sin really is that bad right now. I would just stop playing this expansion before I switched specs
Honestly, I don’t really care what they do as long as it lets Frost be decent outside of its burst windows. I switched to UH because I got tired of feeling like I was hitting with a wet noodle if I didn’t pop my CDs.
That’s the thing though, just because Unholy is at the top doesn’t mean it’s overtuned or overpowered. Buff other classes to be on its level, don’t nerf it for no reason. This was such a bad nerf for Unholy for no reason at all.
how about some buffs for frost and arcane mages, we are kinda languishing here (admittedly frost needs it a bit more)
and for the love of all that is holy, plz nerf hunters already. they are nearly as critically OP as UDK
5% Is seriously not enough for single target. Were pretty much at the bottom of the dps chain. I think 10-15% more would be waaaay better tbh. but it is a start I guess
They didn’t buff it. It was getting double benefits from mastery, they fixed that and buffed it so it stays on par with what it did before the change as we’re sitting at roughly 25% damage increase from Mastery already atm.
- Mortal Strike damage increased by 20%. Damage reduced by an equivalent amount in PvP.
- Slam (Rank 3) now increases Slam’s damage by 50% (was 25%).
Cool a like 3% buff for a spec that behind like 30% on ST? And only 5% for fury? Should I just reroll now?
They actually do tuning before the mythic raids come out. So yes, this is fairly normal.

That is a really backwards way of doing things. Clipping one outlier makes way more sense then buffing 35 other specs to be on the same level as the outlier…
sub rogues, windwalker monks and unholy dk’s do ungodly damage right now but arms warrior who aren’t even strong right now getting a MS nerf, warriors have 1 stun they have to talent in to while every other class can CC chain for days. Do not nerf a class that is already struggling…
Tank Specializations
- Threat generation for all Tanks increased by 10%.
But would this solve everything?
Fury
- All damage abilities increased by 5%.
Will this be enough? Is 5% really that significant?
Shaman
- Restoration
- All healing abilities reduced by 4%.
- Healing Rain reduced by an additional 10%.
You sure this won’t hurt the class?
Warlock
- Destruction
- Chaos Bolt damage increased by 22%.
You sure this was a wise choice in the long run?
For example, in PvP, we’re looking into specializations that may have some high-damage conditions.
Again, we’ll update you as soon as we’re set on adjustments to that.
That is very important not only in damage, but also heals as well. We don’t wanna fight immortal gods that can still out dps a dps.
Might want to reread the post.
Fury
- All damage abilities increased by 5%.
I don’t think we are going to be ignored. Let us rejoice for soon we will hit as harder than ever. May the icy winds favor your casting.
wiggles toes
- Mastery: Dreadblade effectiveness reduced by 15%.
- Blood Boil damage increased by 10%.
- Heart Strike damage increased by 15%.
- Marrowrend damage increased by 10%.
- Death Strike damage increased by 5%.
