Priest seems to be a class that no one really wants to play, at least from what I’ve read on forums and have seen in pvp raids on beta streams , so I might end up priest healing lol. Prolly a guaranteed raiding spot as well.

Language can add vocabulary, borrow from other languages or change the connotation of words but its not fluid. For example: Idiot and moron used to be words that described people with cognitive disabilities. We don’t use them today in that context because they are offensive. The words nor their meanings actually changed. Society’s use of them changed but their meanings remain the same.
Language can change but it is not fluid. Society’s use of language may be somewhat fluid but it still doesn’t change the denotations of words. Idiot and moron are still used as an attempt to imply someone is of low intelligence. See, the meaning has remained essentially the same. Just the context in which the words are used changed.
So: BIS means Best in Slot. Best Racial means Best Racial. Just because someone screwed up the nomenclature doesn’t mean everyone has to change the meaning of the term.

I will be Orc Prot warrior so I can own up some PvP when Phase 2 hits. Also a good tank is handy for PvE and open world.
Orc and Prot talent Iron will give massive stun resist and fear protection. Also Prot is just a stun machine and I really miss the core mechanics of old Prot.
Revenge stun with no DR causes so many tears.
Also Prot makes healers want to uninstall since they can’t cast. Just send the Prot in on the enemy healer and its GG.
And bis used to only refer to item slots, and now many people use it to mean the best of any given selection , best race, best class for tanking/dps/heals, it’s still best in slot race. Your race is a slot/selection in this game.
Also, given English is only a bastardization of German with romance description words thrown in, we are simply a language of slang which changes the meaning of words when ever society dictates. Words change meaning, phrases change in meaning. Get over it.
Yea I don’t know why I haven’t seen a lot of Priest streamers. The ones I have seen either were planning on going Shadow, were healing but not well (a few I saw either didn’t downrank so ran OOM fast, waited too long to heal people letting them get low, were clickers, etc.), and some I only saw at low levels and they don’t seem to stream it much after that.

Definitely, I main warlock and ele shaman in retail so I thought I’d mix things up for the beta lol, healing seems very wanted in classic so that’s what I’ll be doing, still torn between priest and resto shaman tho. I know nothing of druids so that’s immediately crossed out lol. And I don’t really know a profession combo that fits with healing. I have quite a bit more research to do. Lol
Orc warlock for the stun resist. It’s fun watching people rage when their stuns don’t work and desperately try to run away from me in an attempt to “outrun” the dots on them.

Yes I have seen that a lot lol especially when cdew and payo we’re dueling. Cdew resisted a lot of stuns. It’s an op racial for sure.
In Vanilla my mains were UD Rogue and Troll Hunter.
For Classic… Human Paladin all day long only character. If you don’t go human good luck on rep grinds.
Edit for Profs. I think I will do tailoring and enchanting as I will be a H Pal @ 60 for raiding most likely. Be nice to craft my own bags, sell bags, and not worry about enchants.

Just google words that have changed meaning. There’s a whole list of them. People have used terms like this to mean something else which has adapted to become modern language.
Did you know nice used to mean silly and stupid? People kept using it in a different context so much it has derived a completely different meaning.
Cute used to mean sharp or quick-witted but when used in a different context it took on a completely new meaning.
We live in a day an age where mnemonics, acronyms, and abbreviations are used in everyday vocabulary as replacements from what they derived from. People say AFK when playing on consoles when in fact there is no Keyboard. Should they say AFC for the sake of the argument? No. People understand the context and derived meaning from the phrase which gives it a new connotation. Language is very fluid.
Infact look at modern day insults. A bundle of sticks. Someone found to be odd or peculiar. I won’t write out those words but when used in a bad context, words can definitely derive new meanings.

I especially like the low IQ post from that kid about how language isn’t fluid. Clearly his educational system failed him. Liberal Arts, not even once.

Honestly, I’m still not sure. I know being an altoholic since Wrath is working against me in my decision making process.
I want to roll something on two different servers so I can have a toon on each faction. Maybe an Orc warrior or hunter on Horde and either a Gnome mage or warlock on Alliance.
If you’re used to Shaman it might be easier to try Resto Shaman - plus they’ll be super wanted on Horde side like Pallies are on Ally.
Night elf or Tauren Druids, those have been the best race/combo I’ve seen, in fact its the obvious choice since I don’t see anyone else choosing other race to be druid. It’s crazy the potential!
I have no idea if I’ll be Alliance or Horde, it will depend where a couple of my friends want to play. (I’ve always been Horde)
If I’m Horde it will be between Orc or Tauren Warrior (I will be MT in raids, and I want to PVP as well)
If I’m Alliance, I will be either NE or Gnome Warrior, because I dislike playing boring humans even though they have the best racials.
