You can’t teach someone to be a death knight while they’re still alive, you can’t teach someone to be a paladin if their body is physically incapable of it, the process to become a demon hunter has about a 50% or lower success rate, and some races would flat-out refuse to become warlocks, but feel free to derail another thread with your lore-butchering propaganda.

Paladins are just priests that learned how to swing a weapon better than a noodle, death knights are dead and can be any race anyway. And a chance of 50% or lower is not 0%, so there’s your gateway to non-elf DHs.

Woo, that was easy. What’s next?

Response to the stealth-edit: Who cares if a race as a whole doesn’t like what being a Warlock would entail? The PC is a unique individual that chose to be a Warlock, culture be damned.

Did you know ALL RACES can be deathknights already?

Anduin has the build of a little girl and failed at martial training over and over (and over) and over.

You would obviously play as one of the successful ones. 90% of the Belfs died… and were not playing as a dead Belf.

And yet… every race has at some point had warlocks, even my beloved and pure tauren due to the feltotem.

Lore is already butchered.
Propaganda?

Everyone can already be Death knights tho.

Lore wise though is Bolvar still creating Death Knights or is everything stuck in a time bubble like with the original playable DKs?

Mechagnome Druids. But they have to keep the relative size when they shapeshift. Think pet sized tanks.

Undead paladins

Ok… MOST of us are not playing as dead Belfs.

I think he’s literally just looking at recent battlefields, considering K/D, and deciding ‘eh, she’ll be right’.

They’re infused with the Light instead of just being channelers of it. By definition, undead would have extreme difficulty becoming paladins, even if they have been shown to be capable of doing so before, and void elves would either have the Void cleansed from them and revert to high or blood elves or just go Chernobyl due to the conflicting forces within them.

Proof of concept at least.

Death Knights exist in all-consuming, withering pain unless they inflict it regularly on other beings. They otherwise just, well, deal with it. Undead Paladins would do the same. Void Elves and the Light can co-exist just fine, call it a ‘careful, even precarious internal balance’.

Again, there’s nothing here that’s unobtainable by the rest of the races.

Void Elf and Nightbourne DH
Human Druid since Worgan already can be and we’re druids before being infected by curse. So lore wise it’s already been established that humans can be druids.

Honestly though I would like to see some new classes to spice it up a bit.

Also, I’ve seen it said before, and I’ll be the one to say it this time:

The player character is meant to stand out, and in many cases, be the exception to the rules. Undead Holy Priest? Sure. Night Elf Arcane Mages? Why not? Worgen Balance Druids? You bet. Goblin Restoration Shaman? uh… Ok.

So, your character would be the exception.

The main blockade I see, is for asset creation, for additional Druid forms, Totems, etc.

Draenei and Orc Demon Hunters.

Ah, yes, violate an entire race’s theme for the purpose of giving them a class that they don’t already have, which was a deliberate decision, also in the process making them even less unique from blood elves.
“B-b-but they have priests!!!”
Canonically, their Holy and Discipline priests don’t exist or are very few in number.

Their Holy and Disc priests exist absolutely. Few in number is not a problem at all, and could easily be used to rationalize Paladins as well.

That’d be dope, if they did it in-line with what Mechagnomes are.
