You stopped paying. Blizzard owns the rights to the game to do whatever they want. You gave up any rights to the game the moment you stopped paying.

Iâm not even sure whatâs going on. Could anyone actually fill those of us in the dark in on what this drama is all about? Did something happen?
Although I donât fall into these categories I do agree that people should stop whining about cloning being gone. I missed my chance to clone and never heard about it but I just leveled another toon instead of whining as soon as I learned the data was gone.
But again I would like to point out not everybody falls into these categories you created.
I played era when it came out in 19 but ran my own guild and within 2 months I was worn out because everybody was treating the game like a job and I couldnât keep up cause I was working a lot and was being shamed for times when I wasnât playing. So I quit playing with a bad taste in my mouth and didnât come back for a couple years till
my life opened up with some free time. I never learned about the cloning so I never cloned anything.
Im not too lazy to level another character. Im already leveling 3 now for fun.
You only got notice if you were currently playing at the time. Life got in the way for some of us. No email was sent out to inform those of us who needed to walk away from the game at some point. Not so much as an email was sent about it as far as I can tell.

What?? who keeps track of the news for games they arent even playing? Should i be watching the news of every game i ever played in case they share something worth knowing because they dont share it properly to people who might need to know? Thats an insane ask. I would be watching the news of thousands of games continuously.

Remember if you lose the case you have to pay Blizzardâs legal bill, which will be well over 100k.
And you will lose, Blizzardâs ELUA is crystal clear and not illegal.
Also Iâm not sure what the legal laws are for deleting personal data in the US, in the EU we have the GDPR, which has specific rules about unrecoverable data deletion.
