Yes. They are part of the war campaign.
Cause they removed rep requirements for allied races with 9.0.
99% sure you have to if it’s your first character.
I know my alts were able to get the Nazjatar quests without doing their war campaigns.
If the Wolf’s Offensive is there, it’s on the boat.
1st alliance… I believe (teh wife plays too)
She’s got the Vulparin & the Tauren unlocked already. those were fairly easy*. she’s got a few others she’s running around with…
*well, truth be told, she ran thru the vulparin and gave up trying to get the exalted rep… only resumed last month to get it…
I am back in Bolarus, and am doing the other quest, something about Jaina the daughter… kidnapped by pirates…
Nah it’s just that people don’t want to be a mechagnome.
bah, given up… just gonna run around Tir Kulas; questing, mining, fishing, and archeology. If I get it great, if not, I’ll just feel bitter somewhat swindled by Blizzard
I was in the pits of the Maw yesterday and then I seen a gnome that looked sickly and I thought to myself… Oh ya mechagnomes were a thing and they got implemented. Forgot all about that…
I heard they had good racials tho? I wonder how that ended up working out…
Please consider removing the dungeon requirements from the Alliance Allied Races. I want to play these races, but suck too much to run the dungeons and I’m too weak to solo them since the level nerf.
I’ve unlocked every allied race except Kul Tiran. Why? Because dungeon requirements, which are IN THE QUEST CHAIN and required. For almost every other allied race, the dungeon runs are optional, or are instances you can solo, with two exceptions:
Mechagnome: You can do the quest chain on Horde or Alliance. The last quest is half the Mechagnome dungeon which you can queue for. With a decent group the run is a few minutes. Then do the unlock quest on Alliance side, which requires no dungeon. If you don’t see the mechagnome rep at the Embassy, go to Boralus near the flight master. Mechagnome island needs to be open to complete the race unlock, which requires just the Nazjatar intro; They might have removed that since SL launch, but both quests can be done at the same time. Wowhead has clear instructions on the requirements to complete it.
Dark Iron Dwarves: Most of the achievement needs to be done on Alliance side, then for the unlock quest-chain, you run a few solo instances followed by a normal Motherlode dungeon – again this can be queued for.
In BfA, unlocking Zandalari Trolls, Mag’Har Orcs, and Vulpera have instanced content which can be solo’d. There are optional dungeon runs throughout that you can skip, they aren’t required for the unlock.
In Legion, unlocking Nightborne Elves, Highmountain Tauren, Void Elf, and Lightforged Dranei can be done from Horde or Alliance, the final unlock quest solo instanced on that race’s respective faction.
Granted I did these pre-SL on my 120 hunter (now aka 50) with average iLevel. Things may have changed with the new level auto-scaling. To repeat the obvious, squishy/weaker classes will have a harder time with any of this.
still f%^^*( lost…
done all the chapters in the three lads of Kul Tiras. Cleared out my quest log.
All I get now are some dungeons & I can take the boat "Wind’s redemption’ to Nazmir.
Everything else post to teh guides, which all point to “The wolf’s offensive” which I can’t find anywhere!!
I have ‘war of shadows’ “complete” but have no idea where to turn that in…
I really have no clue as to what to do next, or how to get to this mythical land of Nazjatar…
You need to do all those quests that send you to Zandalar. That should be your War Campaign. Eventually you get a quest to go to Nazjatar from Genn, this should be “The Wolf’s Offensive”.
After doing that quest line at a certain point a Gnome will show up to give you the lead-in to Mechagon.
or you know just make them unlocked automatically and avoid the confusion entirely
for the record, I have done everything in order to unlock the mechagnome, except the @#$%^ dungeon. Even standing outside the dungeon portal for an hour shouting out: “looking for group”…
why is this soo friggin’ hard? Why is the dungeon not in the dungeon finder?
whats so friggin hard about making a group in lfg
'cuze I’ve never done it… (or have had to…)
well nows your chance, have fun
I should point out that I have tried to go thru the dungeon finder & look around. The mechagon dungeon isn’t listed in any of the pre-made groups, and when I try to start a new group, Mechagon isn’t listed…
I’ve typed: /LFG & join Looking For Group., and have posted in there… but again, nothing pops up, no one replies, etc…
i have just created a group to do teh run, but I don’t see how or anyone joining…
It’s a heroic dungeon, Mechagon: Workshop, in the LFD (not custom) tool. If you dont see it, perhaps you don’t yet qualify (item level I assume) for heroic LFD. Also, you have to be under level 51.
Oh wow! Seriously? Can we make a group on our own and just enter the dungeon if we are over level 51 and want to do the requirements? I haven’t really even done much of BFA, but the character I started it with is already 50.
I’m also afflicted with the “where the heck are the quests syndrome” for that region, however, I’m going to just go w/the flow. If, however, I will be prevented from any future unlocks because of my character’s level, I’ll just run a lower level character through the BFA questline instead.
and I did it!
Managed to get a group together (wasn’t that hard, really, but the 1st time always leaves you guessing “did I do it right?”)
sadly, I’m a lvl55 running around here, and all are just lvl 50s, so my xp is like, 34 for each kill on the island…
giving it a rest for a while. wasn’t as much fun as I had hoped. Frustrating more like… And it seems I’m not the only one who thinks SL kinda sucks / Blizz 'screed the proverbial pooch…
