General Pragus shuddered in disgust at his surroundings. Massive white walls adorned with red and gold reaching up to the foreboding sky that was filled with the absolute darkness of void held back only by a single, withering beam of light coming from the Sunwell.
“How did weh end up 'ere?” Pragus asked King Regent Katrëll as the two paced through Silvermoon with a small dwarven host. The question was rhetorical, but the King Regent responded anyway.
“Because if weh dunna do somethin’ teh help stop th’ void from encroachin’ ‘ere… it will soon spread teh all o’ Azeroth,” Katrëll replied flatly, aware that the question needn’t an answer but answered to help assure even himself that he had a valid reason to be walking around the Blood Elf city with his weapon sheathed. “Dunna worry… yeh find any o’ these knife-ear’d, magic-fiendin’ types outside o’ this city, then they’ll pay th’ price as always. An’ this provides us an excellent opportunity fer reconnaissance on our enemies while also preventin’ a world endin’ catastrophe from occcurin’.” He nodded sternly to reinforce his conviction as Blood Elf guards eyed him and the Dwarven host from seemingly all directions, some muttering insults under their breath.
“I wonder if this is wha’ it felt like fer them teh beh walkin’ round Khaz Algar… o’ course knowin tha’ land belonged strictly teh dwarves an’ their kin. I still cannae believe some o’ th’ Earthen chose teh assist th’ Horde,” said Pragus with a meaningfully worn grimace for his possible kin lost to the mindset of the enemy through treachery and misinformation. It always pained him to have to smite an Earthen that made the mistake of aligning with the Horde.
Katrëll responded with a knowing nod of his head but no words. His eyes darted back and forth in active awareness as the small host of Hammers made its way through the city. The Blood Elves, while temporarily accepting of any assistance due to the grave circumstances, would normally never be so accommodating. The Hammers had already encountered heavy resistance from Sunfury Battalion while patrolling the surrounding areas. There was also the problem of an orc invasion near Ironforge that Clan Battlehammer was dealing with day by day. The Ironwolf Clan had been pushed out of Hinterlands, but in a gesture of absolute disrespect, moved their warmongering CLOSER to Ironforge, setting up positions in the Twilight Highlands and invading Wetland territory. Scouts also reported a steady presence of Division VII in Slayer’s Rise, where allegiances were fickle and fates could be decided in the few seconds of a weapon’s swing. There had even been sightings of Ironsworn Regiment, one of Clan Battlehammer’s longstanding enemies that had been rumored to be possibly returning to the Alliance vs. Horde perennial battle.
“Let them take their positions an’ weh shall take ours,” said Katrëll with the stoic presence required of leaders in situations such as these. “In th’ end… Clan Battlehammer will succeed.”
“LONG LIVE CLAN BATTLEHAMMER!” bellowed the dwarves in the Silvermoon host, setting the nearby guards on high alert and unnerving the citizens of the Blood Elf city.
Clan Battlehammer of Emerald Dream (17 years in May and still going strong) is recruiting for Midnight, including from other realms now with the x-realm guild feature! We are an all-Dwarf (including Dark Iron and Earthen kin), Alliance-only RPPVP guild that prefers WARmode on.
What We Do
Gather once a week for our Call to Arms to head out into the world and slay Horde together! If you’re online, you’re expected to be in the raid group and Discord. Talking in Discord is not required but listening is. If you can’t make it due to IRL, that’s okay, but the more the merrier. Try your best to be present! While we are casual compared to many guilds, we still like to give our best effort and come away with wins!
Engage in light-RP by marching together, participating in short, pre/post in-character battle speeches (interaction encouraged but not required, you can just politely listen if speaking up isn’t your thing), and shouting our battle cry “Long Live Clan Battlehammer!” as we smash the Horde! We keep /s and /y in character but this is not required in other channels like guild chat. Deeper RP welcome as well but not required. We have a few loreheads with us that can help you with any RP questions.
Fight honorably by allowing the enemy to rez and reform at appropriate times to keep the battle going rather than camping folks into the ground, though especially honorless Horde may not receive such kindness.
Speak honorably by keeping politics, religion, etc. out of public channels. We’re here to enjoy being Dwarves in Azeroth. Keep IRL in IRL. We also stay PG13, avoiding consistent cursing, until after hours (10 PM Central).
We are NOT a PVE guild, though several members do enjoy doing PVE content with each other. Do not expect a regular raid team, but if there is interest and we can pull people together we might give it a go.
