funny because i have the day room in both faction houses right now.
Funny - you don’t have the bug we have then.
Good for you?
Thus it being a bug affecting us and why we posted here about it.
There are only certain layout angles you can put them on because of the radius of the room as well.
…. Jesus christ… Please just, exit this thread… for our sanity sake…..
i don’t think you’re understanding our bug. When hitting the room layout option the rooms aren’t there to even pick from. They are not in the list of available options. It’s not a “can’t place there” problem. It is a “you don’t have them” problem.
Link to rank as of 1/24 and list of available rooms.

Only other thing I can think of is you haven’t purchased the midnight xpac yet. Because that room is the midnight perk for housing.
Just report him for trolling, he is even on a troll character. This is beyond ridiculous…
funny not trolling
I posted a link to what I see above the post I’m replying too. You’ll notice the rooms are missing from the placement options.
There is no user error - End of discussion.
We have Midnight
We have level 6+ houses
We have tried zero-addons
We have tried reinstalling
We have tried shutting it off and on again
We have talked to all NPCs
We have room budget
We have tried different characters
We have done everything.
This
is
a
bug
Not in our hands.
It’s NOTHING we can do about it.
You are beyond trolling if you continue this path.
Please, understand that we have had the experience to already trial and error everything on our side, and what you are suggesting are simpleton logic that we have already proven is not the issue, yet you post about it.
All we can do is hope Blizzard fixes it, and that hope is - for me - drained so far I can’t even describe it.
And it does not help when someone comes in to the thread where we report about this bug, and basically tells us “Have you tried logging on?” soon…..

^ All of that. AND With GMs even telling us that we should have access based on our account standing and progress.
It. Is. A. Bug.
I am happy to report that after the downtime today Blizz has 100%… met expectations. It is still bugged. ![]()
Another Day, another no-day room. ![]()
Daily check in for the no rooms club.
I really wish I understood how the code broke to this extent.
Another day, another depressing lack of rooms….
… and no solution in sight.

I really wish GMs were just fixing things on individual levels again, back in the days I am sure this could just be a matter of some flag being bugged in the code, and “flipping the flag on/off” might fix it….
who knows…
We will never know…

And it’s worse since I play on EU; I only post here because EU does not even have bug report forums…. (and because we have the same problem)
We’re apparently just up to the mercy of US to report things.
So imagine if I couldn’t post on US, then Daiyoukai wouldn’t even know he/she wasn’t alone in the world with this issue…
So 1 US and 1 EU account got hit with this lovely bug. Talk about wild. We’re just lucky I suppose.
I’m sure the GMs could fix it if they had the training still. It is probably related to the 1 quest that a lot of other people mentioned “To Dye For” and the rooms seemingly flagged available once that was completed. Is this the actual thing? No idea. But complete silence is so frustrating. I fully plan on posting here daily until at least some form of mention is made. Next week, probably put in another ticket and see if I can get a different AI response.
While I sincerely wish this wasn’t affecting you it is nice to not be alone with this bug. ![]()
Other things tried over the weekend:
Removed Second house entirely. - No change.
Moved zones and plot with primary house. - No change.
Placed second again. - No change.
Completed ~20 endeavors between both factions after both of the above. - No change.
Less than 1k from rank 8. (losing that 2k last week is such a gut punch too
). I’m out of any and all things I can think of trying.
Maybe we’ll get lucky with the next extended maint that is scheduled for tomorrow? Doubtful. But maybe? ![]()
It’s probably not going to help, but just to rule it out, have you tried changing the “owner” of your home to a different character?
I mean, assuming that you have both alliance and horde homes, and the same bug is showing for both, it’s more than likely an account level bug, but might be worth a go.
Another option, if you haven’t already tried it, is to completely pack up a home - not move it but remove it. It’s possibly that once that happens, and then it is “unpacked” later, it might trigger it - like turning it off and on again ![]()
Fingers crossed you get it sorted. Hopefully, as it’s a fairly new system and they’re still actively working on it, you’ve got a better chance of getting it fixed than a lot of older bugs.
Thanks for giving some genuine ideas.
Unfortunately, yes, both have been tried.
I even discovered a different bug in the early days of it being on live. You could own both homes with the same character as horde and alliance (guild house didn’t care if it was a horde or ally char). And if you move either of them it wipes the entire layout of both. I was genuinely terrified to swap owners over the past week due to this even though they are “owned” by different characters now.
haha there are so many bugs! It turns out the character that I have as “owner” of my alliance guild neighbourhood plot - isn’t even in the alliance guild.
Something I’d raised a while back was that there was no way to remove anyone from a guild plot. The theory is that, if someone leaves (or is removed) from the guild, their house will automatically be removed from the guild plot too. But that is predictated on the house owner actually being in the guild in the first place. So currently there is the very real possibility of someone no longer being in a guild, potentially having been kicked for misbehaving, and no way to actually remove them from the guild neighbourhood. Blizzard really do like to make things as difficult as possible for us sometimes.
