Devastation evokers get a couple of choices for essence spenders, and likewise, in my opinion, hitting disintegrate with the eternity surge proc chance feels much better than eruption. If they added a single-target only essence spender spell option with a chronomagic aesthetic, that would add a lot to play style options for augmentation evokers without significant tuning complications. Likewise, there are a lot of graphically awesome and currently unused spells in Zereth Mortis with chronomagic-looking aesthetics that could be recycled, etc. Just a thought/opinion!

What would stop aug from using this in aoe situations? Because if you take a look at eruption at its base form, it does the same amount of total damage hitting 1 target or hitting 5. Ricocheting pyroclast is the only thing that changes this. Do too much damage, and it will outpower ricocheting pyroclast eruptions. Do too little, and why even bother with it? The essence per ebon might extension ratio needs to be the same, but at the same time if one costs more essence you would only funnel essence burst into that one.
This suggestion just doesnât fit with how eruption currently works.
