Chromie - What level to halt level?

Hello. I recently started up WOW again - Played for a couple of years upon release, and want to go through all of the old content with Chromie Time. What level should I halt my leveling so that I do not get kicked out of Chromie? Thank you.

Welcome back!

I am very sure about this: the best way to do all the old levelling content again is to make a separate character for each expansion.

There is more than plenty XP in each of the expansions to get you from level 10 to level 70. Trying to do all of the expansions, or even a few of them, on one character is ridiculous.

Take a separate character into each expansion, and not only will you have a more varied journey, but at the end of it you will have a whole family of level 70s to choose from.

Also, the classic zones in Kalimdor and EK will level with you to 30, so you can use those for part of it as well.

.

You are forced out of CHromie Time at level 70, and at that stage, regular level relationships will kick in and you will be one-shotting everything in the earlier expansions.

At 69,you will still be in Chromie Time. According to this Wowhead comment from three weeks ago:

As of January 4, 2025, experience can’t be locked with this NPC at level 70.
Just tried on multiple 70s with quest logs cleared.
Level 69 works just fine.

Level 69 is the latest you can lock XP. However, because of the way scaling works, you will be weaker at 69 than at 60. So if it was me, and I wanted to lock to finish an expansion, I’d lock earlier, maybe 61 or 62, to make the finish more comfortable. There will be no problem finding extra XP to make it from there to 70,
