Children named after WoW characters?

Not from WoW but my friend named his daughter Lilliana after Lilliana Vess from Magic the Gathering. Pretty awesome.

Will name my kid t’paartos

Selena, Zeris, Frieda, Shadra

My neighbor’s name is Budd but I’m pretty sure it’s not a WoW reference.

Although he was in the Navy…maybe I should ask him if he went SAILING!!!

And like that, I just realized why Bioware named them Quarians

I think the whole idea is ridiculous.

I’ll elaborate later once I’ve picked Sylvanas and Ettrig up from school.

And I thought the kid named ESPN a couple decades back was stupid.

Man… I was named after a pop-culture figure, however, the person did win an Oscar and have several number 1 hits before dying young… and it gave me “the cool” spelling of my name…

I think I’d never stop giving my parents crap if I’d been named after something so incredibly vapid.

I personally chuckle at all the little girls named Khaleesi prior to season 8 of Game of Thrones.

(I reserved Cowleesi in case I need one more Tauren)

Quarians? Are they related to the Quarsteves and Quardaves?

ugh.

name your pet after a video game character.

but have more respect than that for the person your kid is going to be when he’s 40.

Eeh that’s one is okay if you ask me. Everyone would just call them Alex. Not much a stretch from naming someone Alexandra if you ask me.

“Yo! Jeeeeeroy Jenkins! Get your butt home now and leave them drakes alone!!”

My wife and I were going to name our daughter Sylvanas. This was 7 years ago when she was still a fun rebel, not the Mary Sue that she is today.

Anyway, we decided to name her Liara instead. Based off of Liara T’soni from Mass Effect.

Fun fact: We took our daughter to Comic Con a year or so ago and actually met the voice actress that played her. She was so excited to meet my daughter that she actually used her own personal phone to take a selfie with her. It was really sweet of her to do that.

You do not know the harm you do to name your child that way, you do not realize that there is still bullying in schools, you do not know that they will tell you that it is ELSAGRETHANOS … :rage:

In the case of a girl, I preferred a long but cute name like Vaalera.

If it’s a boy hmmm … maybe Anduin or Varian, sound cool.

Can’t wait to name my kids deathwing, Yogg Saron, and Zen’kiki.

Please, don’t do this.

If you ever have the idea of naming your child after a fictional character, don’t have kids. Do not reproduce, you’ll ruin their lives.

I shall name my son after me:
“Hero general champion maw-walker the second”

I have a friend named Aimee IRL
