Cherry Picking Vanilla where?

Most people believe that 1.12 was just the end of Vanilla, nearly a TBC pre-patch, and does not reflect the experience for the sheer majority of Vanilla.

Again, the cry has never been “Blizzard, give us 1.12”. Instead, it has always been “give us Vanilla” which to the majority of players isn’t exactly the same as 1.12.

Classic is something that exists due to the community, and it should be made for the community. It is as simple as that.

I completely agree. What I don’t agree with is when you try to categorize people not wanting DHK’s and other things with that. Something that existed sometime between 1.1 to 1.11 isn’t the same as a BfA-esque QoL change. Unfortunately, people and trolls have a habit of adding #nochanges to the end of their argument, regardless of what it is, to try and add legitimacy and attack their opponents.

For the 3rd time, just because it wasn’t it 1.12 doesn’t mean that it wasn’t Vanilla. 1.1 was Vanilla. 1.2 was Vanilla. 1.3 was Vanilla, and so on. The community wants the best representation of the Vanilla experience, not strictly the 1.12 experience.

Of course, we’ll continue to get those wanting a less authentic Vanilla experience, claiming that we should only have the game as it was in 1.12 without offering any real reason other than “Blizzard it was going to be that way”. Well, Blizzard said that we were going to have 4 phases and loot trading in dungeons, and look at what happened.
