Thanks! I can’t claim credit, I bought it off someone for like 2k back in WoD or something lol

Doesn’t bother me if someone knows my toons. Lol who cares if you’re never bothersome or a troll? I’d consider it a compliment if someone would waste their time.
It’s not a function specifically for that. It’s a function that allows the game to create rankings for competition, compile an armoury, and even create transmog catalogues that’s being used in a slightly different manner. The armoury wouldn’t function without these abilities.
Lol, I don’t care if people know my characters or not it’s not like I’m trying to hide anything anyway.
I didn’t say you were? I meant the op making a ridiculous statement and completely missing the point of check PvP… Which again has existed forever in PvE lol…
Fair… Lots of people do… I meant more that non hidden profiles tend to be more genuine more often. Hidden posters tend to only post untrue information.
Anyways Tldr I wanted to make sure you understood that checkpvp isn’t bad and you should try some PvP
PvE is fun but most parts of this game are fun with friends.
I’m still waiting for those who claim they can find characters via the BattleTag to name me every single character I have got.

I guess I will be waiting forever on that one ![]()
Lol, probably because not gonna lie we have been btag friends for awhile now and even I haven’t paid much attention to your character names I only know like 3.

Your wrong think isn’t permitted. Plenty of folks know how things “work” around here though and how “features” are abused.
I mean, I’ve used check PVP on new recruits to see if I have ran into them before but I feel like thats a lot of effort for someone to us it to stalk people. Its also not foolproof because for them to link the toons to the same account, they have to both be “searched for” so if a toon hasnt been looked for it doesnt show up. It wont just dump a list of peoples alts
I personally dont mind if people who who my alts are, but thats just me. I use a naming scheme with my toons so im pretty easily spotted
I don’t pay much attention to my BNet friends honestly, not unless talking to each other on BNet or doing stuff together.
The only reason to hide a profile here on the forums is so that people can’t sit there and watch you type and make snide comments about your typing.
Mine wasn’t hidden until people started doing that and it made me roll my eyes. So I just hid the profile and now, shockingly, they have to actually address my posts instead of the weird behavior of “haha I see you typing again!” Or “haha you’re taking forever to type you writing a novel?!”
I meant explicitly writing code to filter this data from the armoury so that characters can be assigned to accounts and displayed on your third-party site, not the armoury and its functions itself.
That wasn’t done by a dev. The website coders did it using information available that makes these things function.
See yours is different. I know you hid yours for a legitimate reason. Unfortunately most just hide theirs to do the trolling, not prevent it.
The classic lvl 10 misc or 58 dk lol.
When I talk about devs in this context, I mean website developers.
= website coders.
I’d like to know why they did that because I don’t see an actual use for pvp.
Sure. Or… maybe… just maybe… the level 10 guy is posting on a trial account cause his main account is in EU. I heard this is not uncommon. Especially cause the EU has no bug report forum.
Valid, I can’t even count how many of those that I’ve blocked because almost always they will have super low post count or no post count and it’s like yeah no right from the start or if you do interact with them you wish you hadn’t so.
Or maybe just maybe they are trolling and want to hide their main. People who sock puppet are major culprits.
It does happen where its an EU account, but that is definitely rare as opposed to someone hiding just to troll or hide their flaming track record. (Which the latter is often the case)
Its wild too because its instant flaming on their very first post lol.
It has no real PVP use. Its basically a site to find player’s alts and harassing them with endless whispers if you are salty for losing a match pvp.
If it’s really that rare it would explain why I’ve not been taken serious on this forum since day one. I wonder on how many ignore lists I’m on just because I post from a level 10 char.
