If this was eve I’d say yes its a scam. There an allowed trick is trade window manipulation. X gives you gold, work some quick key magic and you scam them. they don’t get the item they paid for. For reasons its stood for all these years.
So in eve…unless you know the player don’t trade window. Ever…
Wow doesn’t have this. Some I guess are skipping fees and such.
Only scam angle here I see is they know the real price and are getting you on the way to the AH. Simple fix is check the AH first.
Also check its not a dead common item in not a vendor item. The several gold strong fishing poles in AH or in trade always good for a giggle. I wonder if it works.
