I’ve brought a character transfer bundle for three characters. I’ve made sure there are no pets or mail on the character, but when I go to transfer them I select the character, I enter the realm, I hit accept, accept again, it hovers for a few seconds then reloads the realm and nothing has happened and the tokens are all there.
Which characters, Bonnieblade? Mail and pets are just two of the restrictions. Can’t have active auctions, can’t be in an arena team, etc.
Bonnieblade, Cestus, and Starbinder are the ones I am trying to move. I’ve checked the restrictions and there don’t seem to be anything I’m doing wrong, I’m not getting an error. It’s just not doing anything.
Edit: Well I just recorded what is happening, but the forum wont let me include a link to the file. So if you could tell me how to link to you. I will.
Posting a link requires a higher trust level than what you’ve got at the moment. However! There is a bit of a bypass that isn’t tossing in all sorts of spaces.
Put a > in front of the link you’re trying to post. (ignore the random link, I’m just pasting from the last one I used).
It doesn’t work. removing the https doesn’t work either.
this seems to work imgur com /a/XMajPN5
There, popped it up for easy viewing for others.
So… Blizzard is just ignoring me now?
To be fair orlyia did go home for the nite and it probably got lost in the dozen of other threads that poped since u replied hopefully in the morning.
I like to think I’ve been rather reasonable. It’s been two days since I first posted, and a day since I posted the video.
Then, if you are having issues with it and think it’s a bug, post in the aptly named Bug Report Forum. The SFAs do not fix bugs, nor are they liaison to the devs that do fix them.
I’m a customer. I purchased a service. The service isn’t working. There is no error message or any other indicator of why it isn’t working. That means customer support seems the proper forum. I don’t care about fixing things for them, that is their job, as is providing me the service I paid for.
That would make it a bug. Customer Support does not fix bugs.
GMs don’t fix things, QA and Devs do.
Customer Support doesn’t mean “I’m a customer, support me.” There is a limit to what a GM can do. That limit is determined by the Devs. In order for a GM to assist in cases like yours they need permission from the Devs. That happens by customers filing a bug report. The Devs also prefer to produce a resolution that fixes the issue for anyone having the issue. That means that it doesn’t happen the next time you try to transfer a character.
Yeah I’m not playing this ‘transfer me to another division’ telephone game. I posted my problem. I would like it fixed. I returned the game not three days ago and I’m suddenly remembering a big reason why I quit.
I paid for a service, it is completely reasonable to expect the CUSTOMER SUPPORT section to be where I post problems with it. It is also completely reasonable to expect a company to be able to provide a service they are selling.
If you looked at the video the single helpful person in the thread posted for me you’ll see what is happening.
Currently all that is happening is a bunch of people jumping on my case for my completely reasonable and respectful request for the service I purchased to work.
I’m not going to be bouncing around a dozen different threads asking for help. I want what I paid for to be delivered. Completely reasonable.
The Customer Support forum is a player-helping-player forum with Blizzard moderation and oversight. It’s not an alternative to the ticketing system.
I saw the video. You need to file a bug report.
I’m sorry you feel people are jumping on your case, but the Customer Support forum can’t fix a bug.
It is completely reasonable, but if you’ve tried all the troubleshooting steps then the only thing left is filing a bug report.
Hi there again. I don’t have a reason why an SFA didn’t take a look at your thread after Orlyia popped in right after you tossed it up initially. Perhaps either her or Vrak will come back around and offer some sort of insight.
As for the other folks posting here - they are correct in what they’re saying. This forum is one for players to assist other players for the most part. Our SFAs are only around during their shift hours, which usually seem to end roughly at 7pm-ish Pacific time (or 10ish EST). Once they’re gone for the day, there likely won’t be another Blue post to threads until the next morning.
It might have even been that they didn’t post because they didn’t necessarily have an answer. We just don’t know the whys and how fors. What we do know is that this forum isn’t one for bypassing the ticket systems normally. But if either another player or an SFA does have a suggestion or fix, they will happily share what they do have. Posting in the Bug Forum too is kind of a standard practice, because that way it puts the issue where a Dev can take a look at things if it’s something affecting multiple people. This forum is literally the only one where no staff comes to aside from our SFAs, so by asking you to also post elsewhere is only asking for the issue to have more visibility. It’s not to push you off as someone else’s problem.
Hopefully tomorrow one of Blue folks will be able to peek in or delve in a bit to see if they can see something on their end of things.
You should maybe read the stickies. This forum is not a point of contact for Gamemasters. No gamemaster will ever see this thread. Posting here will not get your ticket addressed any faster. There are quite a lot of players who submitted tickets ahead of yours, and yours is no more or less important than theirs. You will need to be patient and wait your turn.
You will not find out. However there’s at least one support forum agent that has suggested that people leave threads if help is not wanted, so staff should make your comment visible.
You are being reasonable. This is a bad situation. I have something similar going on so I understand.
You are encountering the culture among the majority here. Just ignore it. Easy suggestion for a bad situation I know, but you just have to let people do their thing and sift through till you get some good information. I could (and have) gone on and on about this. I don’t know if it will ever change.
The post that was removed had content that is considered trolling. It is possible an SFA might edit it and restore the post, but not likely.
Well I remember last week where a SFA cautioned people to leave the thread if help was unwanted. He was telling you that help was unwanted. Kind of a stretch to call it trolling, even if you don’t like it. In fact, I think he was asking you to not reply and yet here we are. Who is really trolling, Ruffle?
No stretch at all. Telling someone to not reply is considered trolling. They could have just not replied.
