"Character Boosts are not in keeping with Classic. We don't want to break any hearts."

leveling is “progression” in the same way that elementary school is progression to a phd

retail isn’t set around burning crusade

Don’t like boost? Don’t play TBC. Go back to Classic Vanilla.

Imagine telling a Blizzard employee they’re wrong about a fundamental goal oriented matter that is entirely subject to the whim of Blizzard…

Hahahaha

This is kind of an ad hominem though isnt it? You can teach people to play. I have been a raid leader for top guilds in EQ Progression servers for over 15 years now (Just having quit last year when I accepted my new position and no longer have the playtime).

I can give someone a brand new max level character and in 2 weeks teach them to be a competent player (for about 90% of people, some are just hopeless, but they would have been hopeless regardless).

This game isnt rocket science, and with a little coaching anyone can be taught to play competently whether they started at 1 or at max level.

So I call that answer BS, cause buying max level characters is a HUGE thing in EQ progression servers and its NEVER been an issue.

Right now you can go to the EC Tunnel website and buy tons of max level characters on their progression servers…and that is a GOOD thing, because it gives people who might not be able to play because of time constraints a way to come play and be a member of my raid team.

i’ve seen the content of your posts. you are an OBVIOUS private server player. anyone who reads the things you say knows this. you have access to a retail account that’s subbed when you pay for classic. if you were an original account holder who gave up on retail at some point you’d have the ability to post on one of your already existent toons from retail. and you haven’t. even if you had deleted them once they’re max level they’re there forever. you don’t do that despite everyone calling you out for being a private server player for a reason. those toons never existed.

Just because they’re saying what they’re told to say doesn’t make it right.

They’re literally the standard on what is and isn’t right regarding their own game.

If they could just limit boosts so that you can only do them within the first month of launch, then it would negate a lot of negativity.

  • Nobody will talk about boosting after launch
  • Bots can’t take advantage of it
  • The time-gate would encourage an influx in new player population.

Starting at level 58 in TBC does not undermine anything.

Yes it does, it literally undermines the entire world of Azeroth and all content in the game prior to outlands lmao

how so? leveling is a means to an end, it has little to no impact on your power at endgame

I know how my characters work just fine.

I played almost all of the classes back in TBC and they don’t play terribly different from what they do today. I don’t need that time to “learn” anything, and besides that, you aren’t getting a 70 boost, so you’ll have to play through TBC content anyway, which is plenty of time to “learn you class” if you don’t know that already.

so you admit you don’t care, it’s just “me me me” for you. you don’t care about boosts, but you don’t want other people to have them either even when it will have no impact for you

AKA - I slogged through that content so should everyone else!

Get on your horse there buckaroo you wouldn’t want to undermine human travel!

You asked a question and I answered it honestly. I did not attack you. Either you don’t know what ad hominem means or you’re virtue signaling.

no, I admit that I don’t care about retail
you can have as many boosts as you want over there

They don’t need to do that though. You’ll only get ONE boost ever.

See above.
