Yea I kinda agree with Abomb, although OP has a good idea as well; no reason you can’t do both. Since they are BoP, people really shouldn’t be rolling on them if they can’t use them, but people are going to. The orbs would still be either really rare/ pricey even if they do make the orbs sellable.
They’re still soulbound.
I’m aware. They won’t be for the entire exp duration.
Simple solution is to make them NOT BOP.
Probably drop the bop part close to the end of Cat like they originally did.
Fixed it for you:
I know it’s likely to fall on deaf ears at Blizzard headquarters, but can we please change loot rules so that I can have all of the orbs/gear/drops because I think I’m the most important person in the game.
It’s not thinking you deserve everything and no one else should get anything to ask that only people who can actually use the orbs should be allowed to roll on them
You’re evil
I think it’s funny how if he said he likes, say, taking mail items even though he can’t use them, everyone would say he’s terrible for doing that. But taking chaos orbs that he can’t use is funny haha
If every hc you run has 5 crafters all rolling for the orb, you have a 1 in 5 chance of winning it each time.
So expect to run an average of 5 hcs per orb (perhaps a few more if you’re unlucky) you need for for your crafts.
Anyone who doesn’t roll for whatever reason simply improves your odds.
Go into it with this as your baseline expectation and you won’t be disappointed if someone who can’t use it rolls. Different “luck” on the group composition, and that slot may have been filled by another crafter in any case.
I vendored like 4 of them, didn’t know they were even usable for prof I can’t be bothered to do 500+ of any profession sounds miserable
Yeah soooo stop rolling need on them.
It’s less frowned upon to hit ‘need’ on a healer’s trinket while playing as a warrior.
TBF a lot of people will profession swap for first raid and may be stockpiling for when that occurs.
They can’t be sold to vendors
Busted! ![]()
Trolls gotta troll. ![]()
so why did they make orbs BOP to begin with? Was this a method to make things more expensive?
People quoting 5k per orb on my realm but these orbs will worth less than 800 if they can be put on AH.
I wouldn’t be surprised if some are stockpiling for when they become BoE as well.
They can be deleted though to make room in my bags.
It’s in my bags! It’s in my bags boys!
from a certain perspective yes its better to just roll need then destroy them. It appears Blizzard looked for ways to make everything more expensive but wait… even if the crafted gears become more expensive gold just flows from one player to another no?
