Changes to Primordial Stones

It’s not too hard to “grind” out the stones, it’s just kind of weird that all this feedback was given on PTR, with no mention of tuning, but it goes live and gets tuned 4+ times in the space of 2 days.

Anyway, back to farming materials to upgrade more gems

Still an almost universal downgrade for every spec/class I play that has rings over i392.

Pretty disappointing.

“Don’t use this ring it’s terrible.” Reading you loud and clear Blizz!

This thing was supposed to be a big highlight of 10.7 and I expected it to be pretty strong. Not a sidegrade or even downgrade to 405-418 rings. Only good stone combination nerfed to oblivion. Terrible stones that do 1% of my damage buffed 12%. I’m trading 9% mastery and 4% crit to use this thing, the effects should actually proc fairly often and do decent damage to be worth it.

Just use it if you have an alt that needs some quick easy gear, otherwise it’s way too much of a headache and isn’t worth it.

I made a couple of fun rings with different gem sets and now they’re all changed. How was this not tested enough on the PTR that they needed to be altered multiple times in just a few days? The fun has been completely sucked out of these rings, they’ll be obsolete in a couple of months anyway and don’t even feel worth the hassle at this point.

Considering that, Week 1, I barely did any grind and opened almost every door (2 Left!) in my Vault for the week, most everyone who plays this game for maybe a couple hours each day will find they’re most finished with Vaults and already have the stones they assumed were suitable or best.

But that’s not the issue. The issue is people are sacrificing the raw secondary stats of a real ring for this, and yet it still can’t hold up. It’s the end of the season, at least give the stones each a minor substat bonus or something, or let us craft something out of stone fragments to add & customize the substats of the Annulet considering we get that stuff in droves.

You guys over at HQ are doing a horrible job at not testing this stuff properly.
Not surprised but come on

Good to know we’ll be having similar reactions to 10.1 features in 2 months.

It’s barely a grind at all, that’s not the issue. I can’t remember the last time I’ve seen major items tuned multiple times within the first couple days of them being added. What’s the PTR for again?

Reminds me of Shards of Domination…how about you?

It’s like they don’t test or they don’t listen to testers. Waiting on the answer…

Poor management.

Combined with salary cuts.

Why didn’t you jump on the ptr instead of complaining on forums

Its not common sense since there was an entire PTR cycle. We should not be playing around their inability to tune their content despite having people tell them.

Many people did.

I like that they’re pushing in content faster.

I don’t like they’re using it as an excuse to continue ignoring testing feedback.

Balance changes like this ALWAYS go horribly, e.g. Shadowlands legendary changes a week after you bought it…

Seriously. People said please stop with the borrowed power and bring back tier sets. People were overall happy and they go “maybe a little bit of borrowed power?”. Players said “okay Blizz FINE, just a little bit though”.

And now it’s quickly turned into a mess. Just stop, no more of this junk it will never be well balanced and we’re sick of it. If you can’t implement it well just stop.

How many times did players say we dont want borrowed power. And then you introduced borrowed power that needed to be buffed multiple times on live. And in fact, still needs more buffs.

Just stop.

That would change what?
They had feed back on it already.
They always go the route of [let’s see it in the live environment before we do any changes].

So shill more weirdo.

Calling a ring with random effects in place of a chonk of secondaries “borrowed power” is a little awkward, since in that loose context, gear at all can be viewed as borrowed power, when the next patch baseline is just as good or better than the top end from last patch…

Need to buff more if this ring is expected to be used in mythic raid. If its for alt catch up then good enough.

Hard to expect a big companies to do better testing…?

I see multiple comments (including my own) on various posts saying “Blizz we gave you all this feedback on the PTR why didn’t you pay attention?”. Nice try though.
