Honestly as someone who likes to make alts and I can honestly say dungeon finder is a must. I play on what I think is the most popular real on the west coast (grob) and I find it very difficult to find groups for dungeons across the whole leveling experience

I don’t have a problem with people making a twink and turning off xp. But if your xp is turned off you only get to group with other twinks who also have xp turned off.

You can still link realms for dungeon purposes… thru LFG tool or even the LFG channel (and thus LFG BB)
I play on Pagle and never really had much issue finding groups for dungeons at decent hours. If I was a tank, VERY quick.
separate BGs for xpoff not only takes part of the fun out of it to begin with, but the bigger issue is the severely limited pool of players
I once sat in que for a random BG for over 4 hours on a twink, before giving up.

I never said you needed to be max level. But *0, *1, etc… yea you shouldnt be there. Just like you shouldnt be fighting mobs in the world 5-9 levels above you.

22 ne hunter south auberdiene/ashenvale for say 8 hours now. I fear I shall never close out dungeon quests. Leveled right for it. May go back 58+ and steamroll it. Dunno.
I only ask once an hour. as I quest and mob kill to get xp that way. I don’t have the time, nor desire, to post every 2 minutes. I find me a nice pocket of wolves I go I need meat to level cooking, skinning levels and leather. So I then do that for solid minutes of time.
We finally find common ground.

The max level character (likely) earned their items, the degenerate twinks simply bought their way into power with an amount of gold no normal fresh player leveling up would have access to.
I’d add that it was also proven that twinks where complete parasites when they forced them into their own brackets and suddenly magically found twinking to be lame. They only ever cared about dunking on players who barely had any realistic chance to fight back, and completely lost interest when actually being forced to fight against “someone their own size”.

I don’t really see an issue with dungeon finder. Servers are so large now that community is more or less gone and unless you already know the players, you kind off just grab warm bodies/first responders to fill dungeons… maybe occasionally being picky about class… but you don’t need to do that in wotlk dungeons, they’re all just run in and aoe zug fests.

I also would like a longer prepatch, but for admittedly selfish reasons in that I’m planning on rerolling DK and would like to gear it up some (assuming also that we get the in prepatch)… Even if we didn’t get dks in prepatch, I could snag some s4 gear for honor on a few alts to help their leveling processes out.
The issue you might run into is that you’re already running out of time for tbc, and already going to be cutting into both the BT/Hyjal tier AND the Sunwell tier to have even a 1month prepatch AND still get WotLK out this year.
- I hate to be the wet blanket, but the prepatch event was a bloody trainwreck that just made it annoying to be in or go to any major city. “Not being able to play the game” for a week isn’t “content”… Not that this is a democracy, but I’d say shorten it to a day or two or remove it outright.

I would say, on average, the two groups are the same.
If you think all twinking items are bought you are sadly mistaken. And there plenty of usual exceptions for both sides
Plenty of max levels get carried with minimal to no effort, esp pve side. And there are literally paid carries even for arena
Twinking takes alot more effort than you think. Most items are bop… and do we not EARN gold anyway?

Also, you are very… very wrong about twinking change when they got separated. It’s just simply a smaller player base by default

Good. Twinks don’t deserve to get the light of day. Glad that in Wrath they are officially 100% killed like they deserve to be.

You defend LFD so often on every single Wrath thread with the exact same message, every time, without fail. At a certain point it seems like you’re trying to convince yourself of this instead of anyone else.
LFD is a horrible change that only hastened the death of the social community of wow, and it wasn’t in Wrath until ICC, so that’s how it should be released. Just like the LFG tool didn’t come out at launch in TBC, nor should LFD.

Naw, I don’t hate it, as it still generally gets to the same issue: true leveling players don’t have 10k+ gold and several max level toons feeding them inordinate levels of power.
This. The moment XP-off became a thing, they cried and whined that all they ever saw were the same other half-dozen or so twinks over and over and long queue times if you didn’t catch the main group. The “big thriving twink community” suddenly wasn’t so big and thriving and none of them were interested in anything other than Godmode PvP.

It really doesn’t take effort to clear out all of an instance but for the boss you need, zone the low level twink in, kill boss, and hope the drop happens. You’re not sneaking a lvl20 into Molten Core, you’re “sneaking” them into RFK.
And like I said earlier, you could just snag “of the Monkey” gear and already be ahead of 95% of anyone you see in the BG, especially since twinks rely upon using the highest possible enchants they can muster which often have more stats than the item on which they’re placed.
Twinking outright died with far far far fewer players actually doing it once they were sectioned off. Don’t get revisionist on us now.

Maybe because he’s right. Truth doesn’t need to be twisted or rephrased with each challenge. There is no game or server community, there are (and were) only good guild communities. Those who don’t have one need LFD to make up for the lack of a good guild that can readily provide players to do instances with.
And, most people who have a problem with instant TP to instances are those that like ambushing or ganking people headed to those instances, or like camping meeting stones or instance entrances.
There are those lost souls whose greatest thrill is stomping on those less capable of defending themselves. Whether ganking lowbies or twinking to ensure you have a significant gear advantage. Those defending this aren’t interested in a fair fight or PvPing with an equal, they just like stomping puppies (metaphorically).

For the vast majority of players guilds don’t provide enough players to do all the dungeons they want or need. Almost everyone I pugged with before lfd was added was in a guild and so was almost everyone I grouped with using the lfd
- no. LFD helps to much. especially on lower pop realms.
- the only way to get people back into lower level BGs is with the incentive of XP
- I have no preference
- please do not due the pre event or limit it to the open world not in cities
