Ignite Is a staple core fantasy of fire I’m obviously not trying to remove it, but what I am saying is that:
1: ignite becomes a standard passive that deals a % of the damage of your abilities overtime, just like now, the % is fixed, but can be increased by talents.
2: a new mastery takes it’s place, it can be as simple as dealing more damage with your abilities.
Why?
Simple, ignite as a mastery is too strong in AOE, or too weak in st. And since mastery is just a passive dot, there really is no argument for why this chance would be bad for gameplay. In the absence of an argument for gameplay ease to balance should take priority, and as a result mastery should be changed, and ignite be made a standard passive, so fire mage can enjoy a mastery that scales well both in st and AOE at the same time.
