Oh, I didn’t realize y’all could just buy it for a while there. I got it back when it was a reward for subscribing to WoW Magazine. I’ve been flying around all this time thinking everyone else I saw with one was also a subscriber LOL Maybe I should actually look at the shop now and then.
It is my mount of choice, and I assure you, I still have it working just fine today.
On the bright side at least, you could use the Trader’s Tender on other items instead of the mount. 
… Or hoard them up for the next mount & pets that’ll shown in a months time, that’s what a lot of my friends are doing.

We knew the Celestial Steed would be in the Trading Post for weeks prior to this:

Well this wouldn’t be the first time items randomly go missing from peoples accounts.
My husband bought it for me way back when it was first introduced, and I can still use it after the new Trading Post.
The Store purchased one should get a visual update because the insecure part of me says I’m not special anymore.

Players don’t usually check the website just because “you” do. In game, it said it was going away. And I personally know someone that bought it because of that sleazy phrasing. I guess everyone should be checking the website, wowhead, and twitter just to clarify what an in-game message says.
It could have stated it was going to the post but it was sleazy marketing to suck away some quick cash.

Please indicate where the Trading Post is the Battle.net Shop. I’ll wait.
It was also one of the first mounts that autoscaled its speed to your riding skill, back before they all did it.
