I do also expect the server to be up at 3. 8 hours is plenty.

77-ish days is a very long time to get all the things and celebrate. Tiny bit of maintenance to make sure things are working is nothing compared to that. Most normal people will just work through the maintenance anyways.
Hopefully they’ve learnt to give themselves some buffer time, so that if servers are up early it’s bonus and makes them look good.

Honestly, I think the only reason people are upset about this one in particular is the way the currency works and how you can’t miss a day of playing.
Me? I just stopped caring about the event entirely. Old Republic’s anniversary taught me that. lol

No better way to celebrate 20 years. If they fail to throw in a bonus surprise at 7:59:59 into the downtime I’ll be really disappointed.
