CE and Early access player housing

Has anyone heard anything on if folks getting the CE will be able to take part?

They were last time. The CEs arrived before early access.

It depends. I would think they would send you the key via Email. Wouldnt make much sense to send the EA key in a box that might arrive days after EA begins.

it’s my understanding that the collectors edition does not come with three day early access because it’s not a digital purchase of digital content.

I was referring to when housing opens in December. That is different from what I am reading.

What are you reading?

I haven’t kept up, but could someone answer this for me?

Does Housing require the expansion to access?

Not early access, just access. I have no interest in getting the expansion itself at all, but may be inclined to try the system out if it doesn’t.

Early access to housing is tied to pre-purchasing the expansion. Highly likely that access to it at all will be tied to owning the expansion.

You couldn’t do delves if you didn’t own TWW. You likely won’t be getting a house if you don’t purchase Midnight.

In following expansions you probably won’t have to purchase to maintain ownership, but you will have to purchase to get the housing decor items added in the content of ensuing expansions.

It is very unlikely that they allow a carrot as thick as housing to be accessed without actually paying for the xpac that it is the flagship feature of.

He means early access to housing in 11.2.7.

Delves are a bit different, in that they’re all level 70+ content and currently only found in TWW zones. Location matters for those.

From what I’ve gathered, housing isn’t based in Midnight zones (at least so far) but rather Elywynn and Durotar. So it’s not like players are going to entirely new zones to reach the content.

Still, I wouldn’t be surprised if Housing requires the expansion. I just don’t know if it’s been confirmed either way yet.

True, but I don’t really recall the last time a feature like this was released to owners of the previous xpac.

You couldn’t even dragon ride if you didn’t purchase DF.

Collector’s Edition holders will for sure be able to take part in Midnight’s early access, the CE’s were delivered weeks before for the War Within.

As for CE and the Housing Early Access we just don’t know. Housing ea launch is December 2nd and we don’t even have a release date yet for the expansion proper or prepatch yet.

We’ll likely more know next month. I believe we’re on the last week of alpha so beta is next week or the following week, launch date won’t be too far behind that.

Housing does require Midnight. You need to own the expansion to access the neighbourhood zones, which all houses are located. If you do not own Midnight, once housing early access starts you can begin collecting furniture, you just can’t do anything with it.

Housing isn’t Early Access. It comes with the 11.2.7 patch.

Here’s the article that explains how housing unlocks work in 11.2.7.

Pre-Patch we do. Not official yet but I’m guessing correct and as expected. A week after Remix ends.

Between this and the link in the next post, that appears to be confirmation that the expansion is required.

Fair enough, guess I’ll pass on it.

I just meant we didn’t have anything confirmed.

I’m still holding out for it to be the same day remix ends. I’m worried full launch will be in March and I won’t be able to take some time off :frowning:
