It’s not a bug my friend I’m sorry. Only 5 slots give to you tier. You have to be more careful before you click accept And inspect the part that you’re getting thoroughly
Imagine not knowing what it’s supposed to look like. You have no tier and aren’t even aware that it’s possible to create pieces that don’t have tier bonuses.
If an intelligent person who wasn’t careless and looked at the preview is able to make this mistake out of ignorance then that’s a poorly designed system that should have been more explicit about the creation of non-tier bonuses. Just look at this thread, this person didn’t even realize afterward that they made a mistake, they thought it was a bug. You can’t fault people for being ignorant of something because they don’t eat, breathe, live WoW. Like I said, it wouldn’t have taken any effort to explicitly let people know that they weren’t creating an item with a tier set bonus.
How did they derp the system by allowing us to reforge items from outside of the raid into items from the raid without having to raid?
When you put the item in the catalyst there is a popup that shows you what it will turn into and it gives a timer before you can even agree to make it. This is simply an error on the players part for not paying attention to what they were doing.
Only Head ,shoulders , chest ,legs and gloves become set pieces … THis topic has already been covered since the catalyst opened. Only items that go in the same slots as actual tier items get converted to tier pieces all others get stats reforged .
You can actually check in the catalyst before you push the accept button which gives you a 6 second count down before you can accept .
How is that a derped system? We essentially get to reforge gear into something that is possibly BIS…or just for transmog purposes. It is giving some of us access to items that we wouldn’t have access to without having to commit to hours upon hours of raiding while dealing with the joys of personal loot.
Like I said, there are people who have never seen tier and didn’t know what it’s supposed to look like…people who just assumed that it would be put on afterwards. This also assumes they initially tried to put in a piece that DID give tier. What if they tried multiple non-tier pieces? This would make them even more likely to think it would just be put on afterwards.
I guarantee you that blizzard themselves view their design as a failure and I’m sure they have heard plenty of people who have made this mistake. A thousand dollars says the next time they implement this kind of feature it will be more explicit.
I’d like a survey to fill out upon login that tells the person that is going to be playing my character for me, exactly what it is I want them to get me. Whether it be items, amount of gold, achievements, leveling an alt.
Then I can log out and look at what I’ve completed on my toons profile in a couple hours time
