Ever since I upgraded my fully upgrade 2018 15inch Macbook Pro, the performance has been drastically wonky. BFA Has been dropping frames after never dropping a single frame until the release of Nazjatar and Mechagon, which I find to be so poorly optimized for Mac, like . Tanaan Jungle tanks my framerate.
Now, in classic the window keeps stalling and somewhat tabbing out? It’s a weird series of events that happens randomly. Some days it never happens but it is continuing to happen.
The downward trend of performance on Mac for BFA has also been so disappointing. Mechagon and Nazjatar run so poorly. I really hope some performance updates come to Catalina and the mac client in general.

Have you tried running WoW in low resolution mode?
WoW app > Get Info > checkbox Open in Low Resolution.
Then, in the WoW graphics settings, set scale factor to 100%
So, just scaling the resolution down didn’t matter if the resolution was still 3360 x 1200. 2048 x 1280 has the game running flawlessly at 60 fps.
Sometimes you just have to tweak the graphic settings until you get the desired result.
