As this is a WoW Classic enhancement (Cataclysm Classic: Rage of the Firelands), it might be worth checking out the original from Retail (try running it solo or with a committed raid group at heroic level and you will understand how much energy and time it actually took. The staff itself, in retail world, is awesome.) – beyond that I can say no more without spoiling…that quest in retail world took nearly a year, sometimes two, unless you had a raid group set up and ready to raid every single day in The Firelands for about 1-2 hours per day on average.
From that standpoint alone, the time to obtain the staff has been greatly reduced and still will rigidly adhere to the gaming style of WoW Classic – not an easy thing to do. Thanks Blizz!
