So a high priority is over 20+ days.
I wonder how much the medium and low priority take.

It’s more due to the complexity of the issue. There are a number of moving parts with this issue and it’s not a simple fix.
Lost like 55 wins in Arathi Basin
Lots of data in the statistics tab got messed up with the Dragon Soul patch, so presumably it’s connected to that.
This issue should be fixed as soon as possible. A lot of players lost the progress of a lot of hours. I really hope this gets fixed soon. In my opinion, this is one of the worst issues I ever had.
All of my BG wins were reset to 0, at least 250 wins across the board
Hoping for an update here…it’s been a month.
If they can’t find an accurate number they’re going to have to take the total games played and give us at minimum 1/2 as victories. I’ll still be short a few wins but it’s the most accurate I can get back without demaning 66/100 wins back in IoC. Statistics still shows total games just not wins for some reason. I have zero interest in trying to finish these BG’s until they slap the bandaid on there and I don’t feel like losing extra progress so I’m dead in the water at the moment on this one.
The idea that they either don’t have an accurate number of victories, or that they are hindered by the ‘complexity’ of fixing something that someone with very little database knowledge, like me, who has not touched a database in about a decade, could solve with a single SQL command is baffling.
If the issue is that they don’t have a backup from before the patch, the entire classic team should be fired, period.
Is the scope of the data issue beyond just Battleground wins?
As we approach our fifth Battleground Weekend since this issue was flagged, clarification on whether victory progress since the content patch will be combined with previous victory counts would be appreciated.
I’m sure many affected players (such as myself) are likely wondering if their efforts to continue progressing will be invalidated if an update is pushed to restore the data.
any update by chance ?
Honestly, I’m bracing myself for there being no solution for this, based on the false promises we have been dealt all over the course of cata classic.
If they had a backup, the issue would be solved by now, to me this hints to someone either not making a backup before the update, or deleting it after the update once everything was ‘working’ without checking to confirm things were actually ok
I’m sure many of us are expecting our original stats restored as Plan A, but this is a great suggestion for a Plan B.
That said, I’m concerned about the battle count shown on the Statistics page. After the recent patch, personally my statistics don’t follow this rule. I imagine others might have the same issue, though some may not have noticed or checked closely.
For instance, when I first posted this, my stats showed “30 Strand of the Ancients Wins” but also “0 Strand of the Ancients Battles Played.” Clearly, that’s not possible.
This is speculation, but I imagine this issue might be related to a Statistics ID mismatch during the Dragon Soul content update. It seems like some other stat with a value of zero got linked to our victory and battle counts. Or perhaps something MoP related pushed in the background happened? (ex. Inclusion of Isle of Conquest as a criteria to the Khan achievement).
I’m in the same boat. Hopefully we can get an status update to the problem soon.
Almost 2 months in, still nothing.
Week 6 now? I went from 98 wins in wsg to 0 for the achievement. Really demotivating to see something you worked for wiped out, with no fix in sight. When Pandaria comes out nobody is going to play isle of conquest, so it won’t be possible to get some of these battleground achievements anymore. When will this be fixed?
Nobody cares how complicated it is. If it’s so complicated, maybe there should be a larger team working on these bugs that go for weeks and months without being fixed. Nobody cares about the excuses.
The lack of updates on this issue is concerning.
Can you confirm whether players currently participating and winning in battlegrounds are contributing to statistics that would be reset upon the restoration of data?
It would be helpful to know if continuing to play battlegrounds is a meaningful way to progress or simply a waste of time and effort.
SAY SOMETHING
The lack of respect by remaining silent after acknowledging you caused an issue that affect this many players is infuriating.
Any updates or ETA on this? As with other players, I don’t know whether to continue grinding BG winds for fears that they will not be counted once this issue is, presumably, fixed. It just seems like bugs and issues in other versions of the game, like SoD or Hardcore even, get addressed much sooner than those in Cata…
Submitted a ticket to see if we can get a update and the update I got was “ Regarding your case, Upon double checking this for you, I could see this issues is still under investigation from our Dev team, unfortuantely we still dont have a precise time frame but I would recommend keeping an eye on the forum post for any sudden updates” so probably not going to get a update anytime soon from them
