I’ll say that if Blizzard were to start taking impact on gdkps into consideration with changes like this it would be a travesty, hence “f gdkp” as in “f any impact this might have on gdkps at all.”
And let’s be real here, they absolutely encourage/feed RMTs and are one of the root causes into Blizzards decision to go ahead and introduce Tokens into Classic.
You do you, but denying it encourages/increases RMTs is delusional.
It’s not just people buying it to spend at GDKP, it’s the hosts turning around and selling it too.
I never deny the fact that it encourages RMT. But there is simply no better loot distribution system. All other methods are worth than GDKP.
Yea F all the hard reserve runs I will never ever run with any group that reserves something for their guildy as a pug. Its a million more detrimental than what RMT brings to a game. If you see a group HR something while needing a player from outside whose class needs that gear, then this group is trash.
And no personal loot is garbage too, Ill just sit afk and wait to get carried and enjoy the equal chance of loot.
The only better way is call loot which obviously only work for closed groups in which everyone trusts the raid leader extremely well. That is not applicable to pugs.
What else do we have on the table?
I tend to be very cynical, but GDKP is just as corruptible with collusion. I personally prefer SR.
But it’s so easy with GDKP for people to drive up the prices. I don’t see “what’s your budget” as an innocent question, even tho it probably is just an innocent question at least half the time.
Someone starts driving up the price on something you need MS for their OS, they have the right, but are they just doing it to get more money for the house? House loses nothing if the people colluding are playing with the house’s money, they just lose the sale but keep the gold.

That’s a terrible take. Reserves make a ton of sense if you’re a guild that needs like 1 drop.
Say I take a pug 360 ilevel to a 13/13H clear. They get 5 drop in 1 night. Its bad that I don’t let them also roll on the single item my team needs?

I mean gdkps is hands down the best pug system.
Imagine joining a trade chat pug with the people on the forums.
Go 2/13H with 30 wipes.
Hard pass
Discord gdkps vet everyone and if you’re in that discord it’s because you’re good for the most part
99% of gdkp players are alts.

If you want to reserve something for your guild then do NOT ever post in public channel to find a pug class that potentially need that piece of gear.
Let’s say you want to reserve AL sword, then don’t ask for a pug ret, war, or dk to join. It’s simply disgusting to see those posts in public channel. Why? cuz likely what you are trying to reserve is the best and most precious gear that everyone of those classes missing. If some war or ret has AL sword, its very unlikely he will need to run 13/13H anymore. Sure there is a small chance that they miss only 379 neck or ring but these gears are probably also on your reserve list ;). You know this, don’t pretend like HR/SR is a fair system. It’s not. “hey, we are missing someone of your class, but you don’t have the right for the best gear for your class in this run ;)”
Sure GDKP isn’t the perfect system, it does promote RMT which isn’t healthy for the in-game economy. But the reserving runs bring even worse havoc to pugs.
Like I said, I do call loot runs but only with one group. In case you aren’t aware of this system, the raid leader single-handedly decides who gets what loot. This system usually apply exclusively to very closed-form groups or when the entire group have some bond in real life (liquid, method, echo).
Also just if you need a pug to a 6/7H FL run while reserving a gear applicable to pug’s class then you 99% won’t make it 6/7H. No good player will join these runs where the most precious gear is reserved for unknown people over the internet.
Key take away, GDKP isn’t that good, but HR/SR is even worse.
You know SR isn’t really SR. You will have 5 friends or guildmates who don’t really need a gear to SR for you against a lone wolf pug. By all means don’t deny the fact that this happens all the time all the expansions. Don’t tell me to not join a SR that’s notorious of group ninja rolling as this is not realistic in practice, there is not control over this.
GDKP is just the most fair system.

Lol let me guess you joined a run without understanding the rules and you are salty about it.
You actually think its a bad deal to join a run where you have to pass on 1 or 2 things but can get 10 things uncontested if they drop, vs a normal pug where probably everything is contested and they limit you to 1 or 2 items.
Its funny cuz we needed a pug for our lockout this week and had no issue getting people interested in that. I guess we forgot to get your approval though.
(Adding you to my block list for terrible takes)

increase the challenges for powerful rewards with the new Elemental Rune Dungeons: Protocol Inferno difficulty option.
so assuming this works similar to the Titan Rune Dungeons we had in Wrath, the dungeons will drop normal T11 gear and the raids will drop heroic T11 gear regardless of what difficulty you do them on right?
how will this affect Sinestra? will we still have to do all of BoT on heroic to fight her and get her gear since she has no normal mode version of the fight?
Imagine being as sensitive as you.
Adding you to my block list…lmfao okay Karen
Imagine if Blizzard banned GDKPs as they did in Season of Discovery. Then, they implement region-locked servers with anti-VPN measures and link each account to a unique IP and that IP to a government-issued ID. Such actions would significantly impact the RMT market. This would also get rid of a lot of the ninjas to.
Uhhh… No, no. I got the staff in Cata retail back in the day and it didn’t take 2 years. Was it hard? Sure, but it wasn’t some impossible task or raid. You defo didn’t need to go in there 2 hours a day every day LOL.
Dude, what?!
Drugs are bad.
I don’t care about the 10 things uncontested cuz these are irrelevant gears.
Yes everything in Ulduar were pretty much uncontested except those drop exclusively from Algalon. You let the pug get those uncontested gears but keep them out from Algalon drops, fair deal.
Plus, I never do HR/SR run anyway so our world never come across. You can do your HR/SR and I can continue with my GDKP.
i forgot Cata Classic was even a thing.
Can you turn that staff into two agi clubs for my Enh thanks
I’m confused, this is not for retail right? Wrong forum?
ive come as speaker of classic once again
i am once again asking blizzard to please make a tbc and wrath era pls look at classic forums.
