I’d say resto druid warrior is a classic (no pun intended)
I’ve never heard anyone say anything about PvP in TBC or Wrath lol.
Resto druids are kinda bad in Cata, good for RBGs but bad in Arena. S9 is all a melee rush so druids just get trained down. and later seasons god comp kinda works (mage, resto, sp) but is beat down by lock, sham, druid and jungle
Its preference. Some people legitimately prefer TBC. Some wotlk. Some cata. Some retail. Etc. They’re all fun and unique in their own ways. If blizzard created an era server for each expansion I’d play all of them at once.

Classic only players are delusional and blinded by nostalgia.
Personally I like running DK, Fire mage, resto Druid 3s. Arms warriors/resto 2s is pretty much always good.
It didn’t seem very good in Wrath. What changes in Cata?
it was good in wrath. played it to 2500 without doing much pve

all of them except s1(by s1 i mean s5) cause i didnt know my druid at that time
Season 8 and 12 are kinda the same where unless you’re playing a legendary class or healing one you suck
That’s pretty surprising. I feel like Resto was pretty weak in Season 5/6. I don’t think I ever say Rdru/Arms above 1600 before Season 6, and didn’t face it much, if ever above 2K. No freedom, no magic dispel seems like there would be a lot of hard counters.
Does it play really well into HPal/Arms or something? I can’t imagine it being very good against DK teams, but maybe it is? Doesn’t the war just get kited, and the dru stomped?
it is actually rly good into preg x teams, feral disc and shadow priest mage which was pretty much infesting the ladder throughout the expansion.
games are super long because no purge or magic dispel to make the pace faster but it was ultra solid and hard to kill
Oh okay, I guess I could see that. I played Feral/Rsham (s6) Feral/Disc (s7) mostly, and it seemed like a very rare comp to ever face, but I did see it start to come up a bit in S7, and I didn’t play S8.
Interesting. It probably got stronger with more resilience though. In S5 when it was super bursty and comps like BM/Enh were chomping (and hot purging) I could see some struggles, but I guess it could ramp up.
So like not an easy comp to rank with, but at least viable. Good to know!
Good resto druids are hard to find in wotlk. You’re a lucky woman.
i remember a symbol that buffed druids hots came up in s6 or 7 and the comp became super strong

the druid has to be ahead of drs so he can pre hot to avoid being swapped to.
good spriest mage would pin back and forth into war hpal for ex so they could force multiple cds using every dr. sheep hpal, go war, sheep war, go hpal while he is on sheep dr until it falls and they sheep him and go back to war until they run out of buttons.
As druid that is not an option cause druids doesnt get sheeped so you can only do go’s on him, if he is ahead of drs, he doesnt die and eventually the spm will run out of steam.
into preg dk and preg enhance the healing is just too strong so they cant leave gaps on hoj strang go’s, be effective in not forcing through skin and save strang and wings or garg for that “no trinket/skin go”, but if they commit too much they are in danger.
into feral disc theres always the hibernate threat so w’ing warrior is much harder and there was a very clear kill condition into disc → overpower on a cast into bladestorm, first one should be PS, second one he is probably gonne, but landing 2 bs with overpower on casts with the priest being low is not easy cause it is a lot of setup and thhttps://us.forums.blizzard.com/en/wow/t/cata-pvp-is-incoming-whose-hype/1835258/36e feral has too much peels
