I noticed certain items on my characters no longer have working stats. I know that some of the items were changed during their transition to Cataclysm but they should still have these stats regardless (as other items still do).
An example would be the atal’ai girdle. I have an atal’ai girdle of strength, but, it doesn’t have any strength on it whatsoever, just the stam/intellect baselines stats. I assume this may be part of the many issues going on today, but, just in case it isn’t, I might as well mention it.

Noticed this as well across most of my gear, and this was not the case in original Cata.

yea I’ve seen this as well. seems to be lower level items having these bugs. some have stats others don’t, not sure why

I am seeing this as well. Am hoping this is just a prepatch bug that will be fixed, as a lot if not all of the similar gear is doing the same thing.

I know some fixes have gone out for various bugs, but, this needs to be fixed. can’t have items not working and not giving stats that they are obviously missing, not to mention this lack of stats is not how it was in original cata.
These items were changed from a random enchant to a fixed enchant. You no longer receive the random enchant, which should have been removed from the tooltip.
Both of those things are incorrect and inconsistent with how it worked in Original Cata, and with how some items still work after the patch. The old rolls are supposed to continue working. If this is an intended change, it should be addressed and made for all items, not just some.

yes and that much is obvious. the point is that the suffixes are supposed to remain if they’re obtained prior to the update as they did in original cata all the way until (I think) BFA when the older suffixes were removed entirely.
there are items whose suffixes still work in this way as well, whereas some don’t. the point is to fix the ones that don’t.
I actually just saw that if you inspect someone wearing one of these suffix items when you hover over their gear it actually displays correctly. saw someone w vice grips of the bear in org, they had stats showing in the item description/name but they said it didn’t give any bonus.
so client side it doesn’t show, doesn’t actually give stats, but, someone inspecting you it does show? strange. blizz, please give us the stats that others see!

It also shows in the auction house for BoE items that were affected, which is a big middle finger if you buy them as you’re literally getting something entirely different from what you paid for.

that’s actually a great point I didn’t think of, which is odd considering it affects me. on one of my toons I recently bought unearthed bands of agility since the stats are very good for the level. was quite excited since it was a good price, and now it’s just sad 
it doesn’t give stats that it should at all. tons of wasted gold.
still not working, would really like to know what’s going on / will this be addressed.
I’ve also seen bonus armor on a lot of items.
Shouldn’t that stat not even exist for 2 more expansions?

in a game all about improving your character via upgrading items, if the items don’t work, isn’t the game kinda, ya know, broken?
pls fix or update or something please. it’s already been all of prepatch and items are still broken
