The semicore people were plenty aware thanks to wowhead spiking in popularity. Arch just wasnt available till launch and there were much more constructive uses of time like farming dungeons for prebis.
The problem is there aren’t any substitutes for Zin/Staff pre-raid. No ilvl 359 weapon at all before raid opens apart from archeology.
If they add any other means of ilvl 359 weapons pre-raid, this archeology paradox won’t raise such big forum discussion. Or just nerf Zin/Staff, either way.
Everyone knew. It was the only reason people did it
I’d be for this, just scale them to 353 like the ZA/ZG stuff. Then it would feel much less of a loss if you didn’t get lucky.
Yea thats what most my raid group agree with. Nerf them to somewhere between 346 and 359 so those who solved them still get value our of their time spent but we no longer feel that strong of an obligation to grind them.
How did blizzard initially came up with this idea to have some pre-raid bis weapon up dps by 5% but comes only from a pure RNG profession? It’s so ridiculous.
