Even on classic wow, some PvP servers have 99% horde pop, how is that a pvp server if there is no alliance…
And now on retail wow, cant have much pvp when most the population is either horde or alliance

I’m aware of what PvP servers are, but that’s not really going to get people to up and change servers. Especially not now that they’re established on one.
and like I said: If they’re turning off WM then it sounds a whole lot like it’s not ruining PvP between people who actually want to PvP.

I think the issue here might be that people who really don’t want to PvP are turning warmode on ONLY to get the incentive bonus, not because they actually want to PvP.
Perhaps the solution might be to remove the incentive bonus from warmode; then the only people who will use it are the ones who actually DO want to PvP.

if you mean go back to Pve and Pvp servers…I dont work for blizzard and even I can assure you that aint EVER going to happen.
they wanted one server type to reduce the work involved making content. It was never really about Pve vs PvP servers.
Secondly, I paid hundreds of $$$ for transfers when Warmode went live.
I assume that youre going to cut me a check to move them back to a Pve server IF you managed somehow to get blizzard to be doped enough to actually do it.
I think what he’s saying is he wants PvP servers to make a return so that there is less likely of a chance of someone cross-faction horn blowing to spread awareness that there’s a large zerg coming to raid a town or village or whatever.
I mean, at least with the idea of PvP servers coming back, I agree with this. But as for the rest. I’ve never cared for grouped world pvp. I like the idea of being alone in the wild fighting for my life against fair, or unfair odds.
While we’re at it, i wish they would stop locking the twinks in their own seperate brackets. Do you have any idea how hard it is to find a match for level 59 twinks?
Twinks still exist? I’m honestly shocked I would’ve thought the brackets were beyond redemption by now.
Still exist but currently dormant.
they have always had RP on all servers to some degree. and on normal servers you could flag pvp just like now if you wished. you just were not forced to… why did pvp servers go the way of the DO DO bird? no one was actually pvping on them other than roving gank squads…

To my understanding, he wants the old pvp/normal/rp/rppvp realms back because he had fun on classic or something? And he knows better than all of us because he played in Vanilla apparently.
I’d personally want the old PvP servers back. But know that they’re long gone now.
Honestly it wouldn’t bother me if they did come back, I may be on what was previously a pvp realm now, but I’d adjust.
NO one is able to take out my main paladin in a 1v1. I can sometimes take out 3 people at the same time and I’m sitting in some pretty bad 470 item level right now 468 depending on my set. And many way out gear me, I can still take them out.
I played EU back in nill days then came over to here around TBC launch time I believe it was. And PvP servers were ALWAYS the best servers with the best players, but also 100% of the time had huge major faction imbalances. It was so bad that some servers had like 20,000+ vs 900. Illidan at one time was 40,000+ vs 800.
WM on every server gives players a choice to not be forced into PvP against their will. It also helps the severs that used to be PvE only get better.

But… PvP servers still do exists in a way… Turn your PvP on and BAM you’re on a sever with other people who want to PvP.
100% positive OP just wants to gank low level players.
I used to play on a pvp server.
It makes me very glad for the far superior, War Mode.
Wanna pvp? Toggle that bad boy ON!
In a hurry or not in the mood? Toggle that bad boy OFF!
War Mode is better in every conceivable way.
War mode is garbage. They should have let people who wanted off pvp servers transfer for free.
Wanna toggle? You could can do that on pve realms before the change.
Without pvp permanently enabled on pvp realms it just caters to the worst kind of opportunism.
I think you have it backward.
PvP-only servers were all about predatory behavior and griefing.
Restricting players to only be able to toggle it on (thus shifting into a pvp shard) allows for a good reprieve and ability to opt out of those activities.
If you could toggle it on/off at a whim, I would have to agree with you, but that option does not exist.
