Did you never play classic or read about it? Because everyone knew it was gonna be this way. Even if AV wasnt meta you’d just be queueing 24/7 for wsg or AB dodging premades and stomping pugs for an EZ win. Rank 14 grind is $hit and that’s why they removed from the game. But some people just like old grindy games.
Totally disagree. Being among the first on the high or full pop Classic realms should be given the respect due for being at the top of the heap.
The first few r14’s should be regarded either as the best botters/account sharers on their servers or the most efficient honor gatherers on the server. Both take skill.

AV and large scale pvp IS NOT PVP!!! a warrior being able to win a 1v1 vs a good mage is PVP, a mage 1v3’ing is PVP 40 ALLY IN DISCORD MOWING DOWN 5 HORDE THEY TRY TO SLOW THEM IS NOT PVP, AND ANYTHING ELSE FROM THERE ON THAT TAKES PLACE IN AV IS NOT PVP.

I can see a company with sociopaths in charge creating a product that intends to profit from thier customer’s addiction. There are plenty of examples in modern economies.
YOU the consumer however, YOU should know better. At least I think you deserve to know better.

My only conclusion is that you personally cannot achieve r14, and now your lashing at at those who can by putting them down and calling their accomplishments worthless, this is textbook narcissistic behavior when others accomplish something they can not.
I feel like a lot of people are getting dedication confused with skill here. Getting Grand Marshal takes mostly time. In the current meta, a group that does premade AV’s is also required simply to keep up with the other players doing so but I wouldnt consider this “skill”. Most AV games involve very little player vs player interaction. NPC’s do the same thing every time, they dont change their strategy, they dont adapt, they dont surprise you and typically once you’ve killed them once, it becomes second nature and the content becomes “farmable”. This is true with AV for the most part, once the meta strat is developed it becomes second nature. Av requires some knowledge of the map and some logistic knowledge, but I wouldn’t consider it “skill”. Pretty sure someone that clicks their abilities could get grand marshal. Most people that got grand marshal in the past never even broke 2100 when arenas came out. Id bet the same applies to the people claiming AV takes skill =D

ok first of all bub, back then you should’ve sh*t your pants when you saw a rank 14 because it took a group of 15 doing AB together for months to get it.
Today you’re right, the 14s we’ll see today have zero life responsibilities which is fine and a life choice for a few months. Probably with the help of bots for the majority of the first batch.
If anyone had gotten r14 already I would bet serious gold this dude had just lost a duel to one. But yeah, my point is way too high IQ for you to understand.
Technically, there’s some skill involved. It’s just not the skill anyone would rightfully assume it to be, or even a skill that’s hard to obtain. But it is a skill, nonetheless.
