I’ll be letting it go when Ashes of Creation releases. The only thing I do anymore are Epic Battlegrounds. At least with those you can be part of a greater strategy to win, anything less be prepared to get stomped by geared players. The rating gate that Blizzard has put on upgrading Conquest gear was the worst decision they made with WoW.

I’m an adult, I couldn’t imagine calling someone a white knight for a product that I also spend my time, effort, and money on. I couldn’t really imagine calling someone a white knight period, but we’re all different. You sit around and bash a video game that you claim is so bad on a video game forum, isn’t there something in life you’d actually enjoy? Maybe you do enjoy whining about WoW on the forum but I couldn’t do it, I’d have to find something more productive or fulfilling with my time. Whatever gets you through the day.

One of the big complaints are from pvp casuals in random bgs. Say the gear difference is too apparent now, but people with better gear earned their right to one shot you. I think this is in fact a great incentive to get people playing more and getting better.

You’re basically asking your dad to look at a meme from 2021, your grandma to use VR.
The reason you have raid-cenntric, anti casual content is obviously due to a bad call that the devs make, but you’re blaming the gun, not the person behind it. The gun doesn’t know better. The gun follows the most popular opinion in the room.
Streamers are the ones broadcasting your anti-casual message. “But Hodroj, streamers aren’t a majority of the population of WoW!” sure, but they’re the loudest population in WoW, and guess the herd of sheep that shout "YES TRUE! in a reaction video or an interview? Those are your casual players, mindlessly following the entertaining streamer who is making another clickbaity video.
Asmongold, Bellular, preach. Those are the hardcore raiders that the devs are making policy after. “B…but Hodroj those people are famous BECAUSE they share the opinion of casuals!” no. they are all hardcore, mount collecting, CE raiding people who the devs listen to daily.
Stop preaching to a deaf person, and start preaching to the one giving incorrect sign language, streamers.

Define a casual friendly system
You do know that people have wanted housing since vanilla? It’s been one of the most popular requests ever in this game.
Guess what, they tried it. In WoD. Yes, they were off the mark ish, but you know what happened right? Streamers, youtubers, hot forum posts screaming and ranting about how boring, how repetitive garrisons were, to the point where they rubberbanded away from it, to the other extreme, nothing at all.
Yes they have a problem, they are terrible at filtering out the most popular opinion, from the right opinion. People bandwagon, and it’s the reason that instead of fixing garrisons, they scrapped it totally.
You’d be guessing wrong, considering the price of essences and corruptions. New players couldn’t possibly have bought essences until after they had earned rank 3 on a character. And the cost of corruptions meant that only players who were farming hard content hard would have enough echoes to buy them.
I’m going to need to see your source that you are using to justify your claim that 100% of players got the cloak and leveled it up on all their alts.
It was not possible to cleanse an item “doing world content”. Only after successfully completing a horrific vision and doing a subsequent quest could anyone cleanse an item.
The assumption was that everybody and all their alts would be farming horrific visions hard for the rest of the expansion. The reality was that a lot of people who planned to do that ended up doing way fewer cloaks and fewer levels than they originally intended. People who left during 8.2.5 and came back because of the hype left the game. A lot of casuals ended up giving up on BfA and moving into old content.
Exactly how many cloaks did you and your alts get? I got over a dozen. It was the most pointless, brainless questline in the game at the time. A lot of people left the game because of that.
It took 2+ weeks to earn an essence on a character doing emissaries every day. Multiply that by 10 to see how much it cost to buy a +75 corruption.

Maybe at least add some catch up gear to the loot. Most players would end up selling them to NPC vendors for a miniscule amount of gold, but at least a full bag of loot makes players feel good.

That makes me miss BfA. Even if you kept getting loot for the same slot at the same item level, you could pick and choose your ideal secondary stats.
In Shadowlands, there is barely any loot, but our bags are full of anima items, relic items, vendor trash, covenant-related items, and miscellaneous items used to earn secret mounts, etc.

There is so many good things in the evolution of wow. Story by week that give you time to do other things, and give the filing of watching a TV show were you get an episode each week. The world were you need to be is smaller and way easier to handle. One hub(bastion) the 5 zones for the covenant and maw. As before having to i ow all the cities were are all the npc. Raids been flex were you don’t need an exact number if players… Leveling is nice. Fast to don’t feel that takes forever, and slow to learn the new skills and talents while revisit some old content.
But the negative at this point surpass the positive. At max level the same 4 quests.

The balance of the classes is so terrible. Paladins and druids that can’t die. Rogues killing in one sap, 20k shadow bolts etc… This in pvp and adding the pvp gear system.

The Mythics + giving one low level item just to wait one week for loot. The toxicity of the rate and finishing on time… What happened with thinking the pulls cc mobs etc… That’s why I like new mega doungeon. You need to think the pulls and you can be there with no pressure.
Mostly developers not aknologing their mistakes, the bugs are ridiculous, my as DH. They forgot to add the damage if the second hand, they forgot to add the leech of the new talent blood moon that they advertise so highly, the boss POST can’t be done with mechanics since they mess up the only mechanic for that boss… What they have done for 8 months? How the quality drop so much? Don’t tell pandemic… The rest of the world keep moving… This bugs are not pandemic are laziness lack of testing. Or not testing at all and passing that job to us the players, on top of that we pay…
Why people are moving to FF14??? Because they can recognize mistakes , that can listen to players.you might not like that changes, but at least there is a communication… The FF14 main guy is so humble to make a video about hes thought on wow…
Even after this patch, players leaving, feedback gave… Zero word from ion or Blizz , do they see there is a problem in their game? Is not fun to play?
