Casual vs the 1%...We need to talk

One builds positive communities and makes a healthy game the other latches on to the other.

Raiders flock together, so do pvpers, even pet battlers. The casual isn’t really welcome anywhere.

The casual screams that they want something hollowed out and brought down to their level. You do not build…you plunder.

Here we go again… Casual does not mean the same to you as it does to me or Jill or Sally.

Be specific

Are casuals people who don’t do any group content? Only raid? Play less than 10hrs a week? Do less than 20 mythic?

Each one of these is a true definition to somebody… Yet they’re all right and all wrong at the same time

I think the so called 1% is more life 60% of the players right now. More casual players either moved on or joined the ranks. Plus Blizzard designs the game around elitist expectations instead of how in classic you would be godlike if you actually used your toolkit.

So now the barrier of entry and expectations are quite high and you need really thick skin to fit in if you’re not of that mold.

What you’re talking about is gatekeeping content. You have no right to do so. It’s not for you to impose a barrier of entry. That attitude is precisely why the game is on life support and slowly slipping away. Perhaps rather than driving people away you could try mentoring a few.

Are we not just coming off an expansion that was knee capped because blizzard felt like they had to have power systems at end game to keep casual players…?

If a casual player could be happy without being driven mad by greed and envy it would be fine. They never are though all they want is what others have.

You can’t find people to mentor they have to come to you. The desire to learn must be there first.

haha bloodlust go burr

i don’t think it’s a matter of sweaty vs casual. i think it’s impatient vs patient. they should’ve never killed pvp realms, and instead of a warmode toggle they should’ve given us a patient-mode toggle, so you can easily play with likeminded players.

I have no idea what you’re trying to say here

It’s more than a matter of casual vs hardcore, EVERY player should know that once you get into a certain playtime or skill level it GOES THERE. Any dungeon or raid group these days has the same “oh look I have the weapon I win” mentality and half my raid team likes it, the other half couldn’t care less. Giving out that level shouldn’t be in the game period.

Seems like the ‘casual’ would not be the ones have any tension by the definition that of being casual.
They would be more preoccupied with the drama of that last bit of butter being just a bit to much but left alone, being to small for the next pbj. A travesty to be sure.
Than a 1.3% increase in crit.

You have done 0 job of explaining what you are going on about.

What do you mean by hardcore.

I feel like you’re just raving. Which is fine who doesn’t love a troll thread

Oooo ok trolling. Got you

WoW can’t stay WoW because that is unsustainable. Adapt or die is the final destination.

Every day. Myself included.

We both know thats bs no offense unless you are the luckiest person on this side of planet earth

Take a look at my mythic rating and tell me your BS again.

I’ll return you the prize of laughing in your face anyway.

Nobody cares about your rating man, see this is exactly what i mean…people thinking they are the 1% really start to develop an ego but just RELAX

i mean i didnt read that because im too busy laughing at your face

That is harrassment and i do not think that is taken lightly around here.

People who have the weapon will always be the one with the weapon. Unless we can change what the weapon is. This shouldnt be in the game and the game shouldnt only cater to that “having the weapon” mentality and finally go the way.
Sometimes you wonder why it happened, but it is. It is and it will always will be.
