I don’t care about his social life.
I’ll let you know when I do.
Kidding aside, my highest is level 22 but I took a six or so month break. I tend to level several “alts” as I feel the urge, so i hadn’t even put my shoes on when the leveling bus chugged away.
My /played wil likely be pretty standard as I love dungeons and hate fighting anything green. I do smell (and pick) the roses a lot though.
I was playing the TBC long game when most were thinking only about 9/9 Tier 3.
I got every class (and 2 hunters) to level 40. That took me a year (calendar – I haven’t checked their /played).
Then I switched back to retail for the SL pre-patch. I finished leveling there last week. I’ll probably switch back to Classic this weekend.
my brain read the “i do smell” as a complete sentence and i was like 0.o
I’m wayyyy too much of an altoholic. I have 1 60… pretty sure it took over a year.
My first thought was “I’m going to work on various alts and level all the professions, to be utterly self-sufficient!” …And I started on a PVP server, wanting to get the “true experience” of Classic. I got my main to 39, I think, before deciding I simply didn’t have enough time to play in general with RL obligations to waste it constantly corpse running on a PVP server, and started from scratch… so wasted a couple months there.
Before I even hit 60 I’d realized I wouldn’t be able to run raids; I can only play overnight, sporadically, during dead times at work, and dead times can become active times in an eyeblink. So, dropped that idea… hitting 60, therefore, was pretty much the end on that character.
So I’m still taking my time to experience all the content I never did before they nuked it for Cataclysm. Always played Horde with my buddies originally, so checking out the quests on an Alliance server. Taking in the lore and the neat little quirks real game designers threw into the game back then (still can’t get over some of the pop culture references). I don’t care if the game is very grindy compared to today’s snowflake game culture… it’s an actual RPG with actual RPG elements!
lv a mage aoe farm should take around 20 hours
maybe less
Weeelllll…
Let’s not pursue this, eh?
well, you ARE (un)dead. i couldn’t help but notice.
I’ll let you know.
14 days played for 1-60 for classic, my first 60 in 2005 took me 27 played days.
From day 1, and it take me like one month (13 days played). but I stopped hard leveling around 56 and start to farm gold (pickpocketing BRD for like 30g/hr lol) for fast mount and prebis.
I started a couple weeks after it dropped and didn’t get my first 60 until April.
I didn’t start playing until 2008 so I decided to take my time. I’m only raiding on my mage.
somewhere between a month or two, was just doing it slowly enjoying quest lines. it’s more fun that way.
i could have done it faster, by skipping inefficient quests, or grinding… but that wasn’t gonna be fun. why rush to end game, when classic is going to be there “forever”? Enjoy the ride! let the zoomers zoom.
I don’t remember. Was plenty of time of phase 1 left when I did so maybe like 3-4 weeks, though I had a lot of free time when I did and could play for hours a day.
I think the numbers came out to be somewhere around 356 hours?
I was super casual, even stopped playing the game between phase 2 and 3. Finally came back to ding 60, and try out some raiding
I Think I had about 12 days total play time by the time I hit 60. So just under 300 hours of time put into the game to get from 1-60. I wasn’t playing every day either so in total I think it took me around 2-3 months from when I first made my account.
I also deviated and put a fair amount of time into retail WoW in between playing Classic… So it could’ve even been longer than 2-3 months… Honestly I wasn’t keeping track.
I did make my WoW account specifically for Classic though.
About 2 months, I started in September and hit 60 in November.
took me maybe 13 days of /played
that was lvling from 1-60 as deep prot, not even taking arms or fury talents until 41, and doing every horde-rep-giving-quest-often-excluding-UC in a given zone before i moved onto the next one, as well as doing every non-alliance dungeon at least once, as well as levelling my professions along the way, including even cooking and fishing
i had alot of time to play, so i reached 60 well before the end of p1, iirc
In retail 3 days. In classic 3 months.
